QCWA Granite Belt Weekenders
With three Regions, twenty Divisions and over two hundred and forty Branches, the QCWA is the largest and most widespread women’s organisation in Queensland.
The Granite Belt Weekenders is a new group, working towards becoming a Branch.
A donation of a Laser printer has been received. Can anyone use it?

Thank you Murphy's Pigs for the opportunity to raise funds by manning the bar. The audience was treated to a fantastic night of song, music and dance.

It was a pleasure to attend Stanthorpe Rotary changeover night. Now past President Jim Barnes works in collaboration with other service groups as well as the CWA Granite Belt Zone members. I'm looking forward to working with new President, Stephen Tancred. On a surprise note Catherine Orford (Jim's partner) received an award for her service.
Meeting at 2.00pm tomorrow RSL Stanthorpe. Why not come earlier for lunch and a chat.

Talented member Dani Hannigan went to Korea recently and brought some "show and tell" to our meeting. She took us on a walk through the fabric districts of Seoul by way of her purchases. Plus she has completed some pieces using Korean techniques.
Picture 1. She bought the skirt.
Picture 2. This style of patchwork fabric is used as you would stained glass.
A big shout out to member Joyce Bell for winning 1st Prize in the Division Finals raffle. She was presented with the $100 as our first "good news" item at our meeting today.
This Saturday 2.00pm at the Stanthorpe RSL is a general meeting for the Granite Belt Weekenders. Our meeting is in the boardroom but we have lunch prior - 12.30pm.
Lively discussions today at our March meeting, held a week early due to Easter. Dani Hannigan features our finished banner which has been a project close to her heart. Dani is also an archivist for the branch starting from our conception in 2019. Thank you.👏👏

Our Dignity Drive is just one week away! Who is on board to help us end period poverty?
Throughout the month of March we are asking our amazing community to donate period products to help those doing it tough. We want to ensure at the very least they can manage their period with dignity.
So please, if you can, consider donating to help someone in need this March. You will be able to find our collection points nationwide at Woolworths supermarkets and select businesses from March 1.
