What an incredible week we had last week with Group 1 of 4 from our newest client in Western Australia for live fire and Compartment Fire Behaviour Training (CFBT)!

The students' dedication, focus, and enthusiasm made the training a huge success. Even with the heat (no Queensland pun intended πŸ˜‰), your professionalism and teamwork shone through. We hope you all enjoyed the experience, gained valuable skills, and will take back what you’ve learned from our awesome trainers.

We're excited to see Group 2 in a few weeks! Until then, keep up the great work, and pass on your awesome feedback to your colleagues and ERT friends throughout the state!

Australasia Fire & Emergency Response College is deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a Queensland Fire & Rescue firefighter who tragically lost their life while on duty. Our hearts go out to the firefighter's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

We would like to honour the firefighter's memory by reciting the Firefighter's Prayer: "When I am called to duty, God, wherever flames may rage, give me strength to save a life, whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it's too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert to hear the weakest shout, and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling and give the best in me, to guard my every neighbour and protect their property. And if according to your will I have to lose my life, bless with your protecting hand my children and my partner."

Rest in peace, dear firefighter. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
