I am delighted to have my artwork ‘Embrace’ included in the upcoming National Art School fundraiser for supporting pathways to education and professional development opportunities for emerging NAS artists and students. The silent auction occurs on Friday, 3rd of May at the cocktail party, where over 40 artworks by exciting NAS alumni will be on offer.

Information and tickets available by contacting [email protected]

‘Embrace’ was made during the time when we were coming out of Covid lock downs. It is a reminder of how much we had taken for granted the importance of connection through the act of being able to hug our friends and loved ones.

Within Us - Object #2

A captured moment of transparency and reflection in the studio. I love that it can take a can a while to see what is actually going on here.

Flashback in the studio (spy my furry companion)

This piece of work, holds a lot of memory. It was a project I made in second year of my BFA which informed my decision to switch from painting to sculpture as a major.

If you scroll through, you’ll see the beautiful Picasso painting I reinterpreted into 3D. A defining moment that changed my style of work and drives my art practice today.

I love seeing it in my studio as a reminder of that first step I took.

Flashback 🔸🔸🔸

‘Composition with Copper I’ - crafted from traditional copper, this sleek origami-like design accented by a mesmerizing blue reflective glow. The metallic reflections redefine light, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate its active shape. A perfect addition to any modern home.

This work was a favourite from 2017. MDF, copper sheet, acrylic paint
74 x 74 x 28cm.

Where the magic happens ✨💭

It’s a meditative process of visualisation and creation and one of my happiest places. A big window is key for my studio, with light as a main tool for my transparent perspex sculptures. With some help from my sidekick, Juno. 🐶

‘IT IS FREE II’. The beauty of iridescent design is that the art requires the surroundings to play a role. It's a reflection of the world around us and is always changing. With their mirror-like surfaces, vibrant colors, and shifting shadows, immersing the eye into captivating illusions.

With the vibrant Pride Mardi Gras festival lighting up Sydney, it's a joy to witness the rainbow hues adorning our city 🌈 ✨

Here's a throwback to one of my favourite works, ‘After Chinati’ where the shifting colours and reflections of light against the perspex make a bold statement in the Q-Station Manly. Just like the kaleidoscope of identities we hold, we're all a beautiful blend of perceptions shaped by our surroundings and what comes from within us. 💫

'TO BE FREE' - a mesmerising blend of changing pinks and blues, casting a lavender haze across the room. This perspex design demands attention with its vibrant colours and shifting shadows, drawing viewers into captivating illusions.

Through the use of geometric forms and natural light, I celebrate the dynamic interplay of unpredictability and serenity. My transparent perspex sculptures, enhanced with dichroic film, capture spectral light effects, symbolising adaptability and emotional connection.

Heading to the Brussels Art Fair in Belgium last month was a treat. Having my work on display was an exciting opportunity, as was soaking up the energising space and work of other artists and coincidentally noticing more reflective colour along my way 🌈

There was a real buzz in the air. Here, you can see my two sculptures in my ‘I Think, You See’ series, exploring the theme of perceptions.
Thank you .official for the opportunity!

'Within Us' hangs in the historic glass house as part of the Les Sculptures Refusees exhibition at Q Station, Manly until November 12. Reacting to the changing light conditions of its surrounds, this installation is a play of constant shifts, change and reflections. If you would like to join me, I will be on site this Sunday afternoon (Nov 5) between 2 and 4pm. Although the weather forecast might not be the best, it will add another dimension to the mood of this work. There are plenty of other great works to see over the whole site and an indoor sculpture show too. Let me know by DM if you can try make it as I would really love to see you there.

I have to admit I hit a few speed wobbles in August and September - so many exciting opportunities open but some important outcomes not easily met which created huge anxiety instead of excitement and a sense of pride.

When hurdles arise, I especially look to meditation, exercise and music to stay focused. From here, courage is a driving force, and conquering imposter syndrome, something everyone from all fields experiences.

Listening to art podcasts also provided a sense of camaraderie and invaluable guidance; some favourites include , , and

I am thrilled to see how well my NAS cohort continue to strive and achieve and am grateful to my community and their unique perspectives of what reflects back at them when they look at my work.

As I share more of my journey and process, I would love for you to share what catches your eye in my posts to help be part of the process.

Growth, reflection, and the boundless potential of art is always inspiring. Looking forward to sharing more with you shortly.

The first of September saw my exciting month of travel and art installations kick off with a flash of colour. Thankfully, three works were successfully installed at the picturesque Fosterton farm at Dungog for which opens at the end of this month. I don't think I will ever get over the nerves experienced before and during an art installation. Interested to hear from anyone if that ever changes? Decided to break the trip home with a night in Newcastle. Just loved these large vibrant panels of reflective orange on the pier. Certainly attention-grabbing in that contrasting coastal landscape.

When lines replace curves ➰

When random shaped planes meet, exciting things can and do happen. Honoured to see my artwork gracing the wall of Solid Air - a beautiful renovation project by as featured in . I love the conversation the artwork seems to be having with the neighbouring cabinet.

Returning to the theme of Japanese architecture as inspiration for my sculptures 〰️

The in Iiyama and in Karuizawa were striking buildings. In contrast to the soothing curves of the oval form, there is so much dynamism and exciting potential in using angled lines and shaped edges. So good to think about challenging the conventional principles of construction and display 💭 ✨
