When booking a foiling service like balayage, full head of foils etc I always ask about your hair history and current hair care routine ! These things are critical for your hairdresser to know as it will determine if your service will result in breakage or healthy hair.

So my client in the picture above came in with a grown/washed out colour done by her previous hairstylist. Previous to her coming in to me she had explained that she had been blonde before but had coloured her hair jet black and the colour she came in with was her first session of removing the black colour, she also explained her shampoo and conditioner weren’t of great quality.

From hearing her hair history and her hair care routine I knew that we needed to take extra care of her hair to ensure the hair quality remained healthy so I decided to use the charcoal bleach with a low peroxide and kept my eye on her foils. Once I saw it was lifting perfectly with no damage then I knew we’d have no issue getting her as light as we did.

Ladies when booking in a bleaching service please tell your hairdresser your whole hair history and your hair care routine it will help you avoid damage and it’ll make your hairdressers life easier !!
