Lou Tait Art
Unique & abstract original art by Louise Tait
I just love seeing my art hanging in its forever home. This piece I created a while ago using vibrant inks, acrylic and metallic.
It looks great in its frame and taking pride of place in a sunny bedroom.
The light and dark interwoven with the gold. We love, love, love the gold.
Showing off the shades of blue in one of my newest paintings called ‘underwater love’.
I’ll be taking this piece along with me to the Pearl Beach Art Fair on Sunday 1st October.
Come and say hi if you’ll be in the Central Coast for the long weekend, it’s set to be a scorcher ☀️
Assembling the troops to see who will come along with me to the Pearl Beach Art Fair on 1st October.
‘Strawberry Smoothie’ 🍓and ‘Disco’ 🪩
Layers upon layers of my favourite colours, then bejewelled with thousands of tiny dots. Bloody love them!
What can I say about this, other than I love it! My newest piece, called ‘Ocean Jasper’.
The sky really is that blue in Winter 💙
‘Patonga’ is named after my favourite beach. I’ve loved adding many tiny details to this piece. I think it’s going to look great in frame.
‘Bloom’
Acrylic on canvas. Details added with posca pens. Posca pens are the greatest invention.
It’s a vibe 😍
I’m excited to have my first stall at Umina Beach Markets tomorrow! It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day, so if you’re in the area tomorrow 9am-2pm, pop by and say hello!
There will be loads of gorgeous stalls, mostly local small businesses, artists and craftspeople! See you there 🏝
Colourful abstract details! I’m so into ‘adorning’ my art with marks, dots, shapes; pretty much anything that feels right.
Saturdays are for messing around. Who knows what this will morph into?
When you just can’t stop adding in the details! I’ve been a busy bee this weekend, adding to these two new colour bombs!
I’ve used alcohol inks to create the backgrounds and added in masses of details with acrylic paint and posca pens.
In love with these! How special will they look all framed up!?!?
Happy Mothers Day to all you gorgeous Mammas out there 💙💚💜
Yayyy this piece has exceeded all of my expectations!
Layers upon layers upon details upon details is my absolute favourite way to spend a week in covid isolation.
Thinking of names to call this crazy one-off!
Sneak peak of my latest canvas. It’s so therapeutic adding in all of the itsy-bitsy details.
I’ve not used a heap of black or dark grey in many of my pieces before, but I’m loving it!
I’ve got more time than usual to potter around with my art this weekend….thanks to covid I’m having to isolate at home with the family. The silver lining is more time to be creative.
I’ll be donating art to this cause to raise money for those impacted by NSW and QLD floods.
Stayed tuned for how you can get involved!
Going in with the rich jewel tones today.
A piece of A3 ink art is well and truly under construction!
That blue and gold though 😍
Wowwww Weeee! After many months of tinkering away and more late nights than I care to mention, this is finally finished!
Details on details on details, more is definitely more with this piece!
I’ve decided to call this wonderful delight ‘An Octopus’s Garden’.
I can’t describe how much I have enjoyed creating this, a lotta love has gone into this art!
This whimsical beauty is currently adorning my studio wall, can’t stop staring 👀
Summertime waves….finally the summer has arrived in Sydney!

The textures and colours in this new piece are just something else!
I’ve used ink, metallics, acrylic and varnish to create this multi layered, mixed media, one-of-a-kind!
It’s A3 size sitting in an A2 mount and frame.
Those deep blues though 😍💙
Seaweed vibes for Sunday. I’ll be tinkering with this all day, let’s see what magic happens ✨

Doodling on a black background has turned into something pretty cute!
Embellished to now resemble some kind of underwater space disco!!?!? ✨
The vibrant colours and the drips of gold are everything 🤩
Going into the weekend powered by some strong mermaid vibes 🧜🏽♀️
I’ve been slowly adding underwater details to this piece all week.
Very strong mermaids vibes are coming through 💜
Before the details! What will this turn into? Your guess is as good as mine, but I’m thinking something mermaid-ish 🧜🏽♀️
‘Hold my hand on the moonlit sand’
🌙✨🌙 ✨
I enjoyed painting this SOOO much!!! Using highly pigmented inks and metallic paint for the base allowed me to then add an absolute ton of detail, letting all the colours and patterns really pop!
It’s a pretty big piece, so will look so great when it’s in a frame. The moto for this creation is ‘more is more’ 🤩
Here’s just a small corner of something pretty big I’m working on this week. Details, details, details ✨✨✨
🚧 Art Under Construction 🚧
The newest piece of art which is getting ‘zjooshed’ to within an inch of its life. The devil is in the detail 😈
A name for this crazy piece of colour has been decided. Drum roll please…. 🥁
‘You had me at Aloha’ 🤩
Thanks to my sister for coming up with the perfect name!
This is how I spent my Sunday! When adding a few details got seriously out of control 😆
Ink, metallic paint, shellac, acrylic and paint pens were all used to create this absolute one-off. I just love it and loved creating it even more 💜
The colours are so bright, a feast for the eyes! Still pondering a name for this piece, any suggestions for me?
Something a bit nuts is coming soon! Close-up sneak peak 🤪
