Title: CEO Spotlight Stamps

This artwork features stamps depicting former CEOs Ahmed Fahour of Australia Post and Alan Joyce of Qantas. These high-profile leaders were frequently in the media, seemingly focused on promoting themselves and their public profiles.
Through this piece, I aim to capture the intersection of corporate leadership and self-promotion, questioning the priorities and motivations of prominent executives in the public eye. The use of stamps as a medium underscores the blend of officialdom and personal branding that characterized their tenures.

Title : Rosie the Riveter's Retail Revolution

This artwork was inspired by my reaction to Australia Post, a government-owned entity, venturing into the retail market by selling consumable goods such as flowers, cameras, record players, and kitchen appliances. I was appalled by this shift, especially as stamp prices continued to rise, seemingly to support the government’s competition with other retailers.
In this piece, I depict various retail goods alongside price tags, featuring Rosie the Riveter on the stamps. The juxtaposition serves as a commentary on the role of the government, questioning whether it should focus on governance rather than competing in the retail sector.

Turning Passion into Profit: My Journey as an Artist and Entrepreneur

As an artist, my passion for creating beautiful pieces knows no bounds. However, the reality is that passion alone doesn't always pay the bills. Lately, I've found myself needing to focus more on generating income from my art to support myself.
In my quest to turn my passion into a sustainable source of income, I've explored various online platforms that claim to sell art. Unfortunately, many of these platforms have fallen short of expectations, and some have even done more harm than good. But that's a topic for another day.
Instead, I've been channeling my efforts into building a presence on social media and slowly developing my own website. It's been a journey of trial and error, but I'm determined to find a solution that works for me.
Recently, I've joined Ignite, a small business startup program. Through this program, I've had the pleasure of working with a talented young woman named Hawanatu. She's been instrumental in helping me navigate the business side of being an artist, from marketing strategies to financial planning.
I'm incredibly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and grateful for the support I've received along the way. With dedication and perseverance, I believe I can turn my passion into a thriving business.
Stay tuned for updates on my journey as an artist and entrepreneur!

Tribute to Pyrmont: The Lost Incinerator Legacy

Step into the world of architectural preservation with "Tribute to Pyrmont: The Lost Incinerator Legacy." This artwork pays homage to the Pyrmont Incinerator, a masterpiece of design by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin, renowned architects of their time. Capturing the essence of this lost gem, the artwork portrays the incinerator's unique blend of ancient Mayan influences and modern Cubist forms.
The incinerator's symbolic elements, such as the towering "tall poppy" atop its chimney, serve as poignant reminders of its significance in architectural history. Adorned with decorative tiles representing the four elements, the structure embodied the essence of fire, air, water, and earth, echoing the incineration process it once housed.
Despite its innovative design and cultural significance, the Pyrmont Incinerator met a tragic fate in 1992, succumbing to demolition for the sake of urban development. The loss of this architectural marvel stands as a testament to changing priorities and the fragility of our built heritage.
Through "Tribute to Pyrmont: The Lost Incinerator Legacy," viewers are invited to contemplate the transient nature of architectural beauty and the importance of preserving our cultural heritage. This artwork serves as a silent protest against the indiscriminate destruction of historical landmarks and a rallying cry for the preservation of our architectural treasures.

Lost Pages: Tribute To The Old Public Library

Step back in time with "Lost Pages: Tribute to the Old Public Library," an evocative artwork capturing the nostalgia of bygone days. This piece features a row of contemporary townhouses, standing in place of the once-beloved Leichhardt Public Library.

The library, a brick-built relic from the sixties, held a special significance for the community, nestled close to Leichhardt Primary School. As a former student of Leichhardt Primary, I vividly recall the library's presence and its importance in my academic journey. It served as a haven for learning and exploration, a place where imaginations soared amidst the pages of countless books.

The decision to sell and demolish this cherished public institution remains a source of frustration and disappointment. The relocation of Leichhardt Library to a distant private complex called The Forum has left a void in the heart of the community, distancing itself from its educational roots.

"Lost Pages" serves as a poignant tribute to the legacy of the old public library, commemorating its role in shaping minds and fostering a love for literature. Through this artwork, we honor the memories of quiet study sessions, shared stories, and the collective bond forged within its walls.
