This time next Friday we'll be at ACMI in Melbourne for a special celebration of Elefant Traks music videos in their beautiful cinema. Imagine some of our videos on the big screen! But also, we'll be chatting on stage, talking about stories from each video and answering questions.

It's a must if you're into the magic of how videos and music work together to tell a story. I've always marvelled at how a music video can make a song transcendent, like with Joelistics' song 'Out of the Blue'. It's endlessly interesting how the visual form evolves the music form, in good, bad and unexpected ways. Oh by the way, we'll have Joelistics on stage, as well as Urthboy, Jane Tyrrell and ET founder Kenny Sabir. Friday night at Fed Square, let's go!

Elefant Traks 25th Anniversary – The Videos Celebrate the 25-year journey of indie music label Elefant Traks with a discussion about the music videos that created an iconic era of Australian music.

OKAAAYYY BRISBANE / MEANJIN..

Here's the deal: Saturday's show at the Tivoli is not like a regular gig, it's an ALL-IN gala style performance featuring heaps of artists. It is not each artist doing their own sets.

We're honoured to have living legend DJ KATCH from the iconic Hydrofunk Records Official spinning tunes from doors at 7pm.

As we did in Sydney, we will have two Auslan interpreters on stage the whole show.

Welcome to Country - 8.20pm
SHOW STARTS - 8.30pm

There will be an intermission, partly cos the band are giving it so hard they need a breather. Then we go into the second half. The show is about 3 hours. It will pass by fast and we do ask for you to sing along, clap, cry, laugh and have the best night of the year.

Nice to see this snapshot of our story in the Guardian. Our artists are the VIPs but the staff behind the scenes have always cared immensely. Most of us are artists so even though we can't control the success, we feel the highs and we feel the lows. Big acknowledgement to all the people who've given so much of themselves to ET and our artists.

From Dale Harrison to Kaho Cheung, Jannah Beth to Caitlin McGregor, Richard Tamplenizza to Ash Maher, Owen Field to Sally Coleman, Carolina De La Piedra to Sofia Nicotra, Channa Xaypangna to Sereen Omran and Jen Ng and all the volunteers at the start. It takes a lot of people to carry the load over 26 years :)

💥 DGGZ (the bass player in The Herd) doubles as a longtime record collector. He only started DJIng so as to have an excuse to buy more records back in the late 90s as part of the seminal Frigid crew. These days he rarely gets to take his extensive record collection out to play - his selections will be unexpectedly eclectic. ⁠
Along with him is legendary rapper, Solo, from inner west faves 💥 Horrorshow. Better known on the mic, in the last few years has taken to building his selections of soul and funk and regularly does a youtube live set of 'Recordlections' for his Patreon followers. ⁠
💥 Rounding out the lineup is a long time friend of the label Diola. A DJ's DJ, her selections and music knowledge are impeccable and she's also very nice on the cut and is musically gifted on the mix.
