Today marks a very special day with coming to the end of my breast cancer journey 💗⁣

I am officially done and dusted with going to the hospital.⁣
⁣
It’s been my routine and my life for the past 3.5 weeks for radiotherapy 😅⁣
⁣
15 rounds of radiotherapy done ✅⁣
⁣
Today I finished off with 3 blood tests, immune testing and the BRAC gene blood test.⁣
⁣
I had no idea how intense this journey would be, how structured the daily procedures would be. ⁣
The radiotherapy treatment alone is intense as it’s close to my heart, whilst facing your mind, emotions and fatigue.⁣
⁣
The whole team at the hospital made it so much easier to go to everyday. From the receptionist to the radiotherapy team. 🩵 They are all beautiful.🩵⁣

I appreciate more than ever the knowledge I have, in my holistic health modalities with the decades of experience and dedication I hold to practice and to be able commit to my health, & wellness more than ever during this time 🩵⁣

The mindfulness practices I have be doing everyday, being in the stillness of nature walking, the self healing, meditation, and the foods that have supported my body and immune system from the shock and trauma from the operation and my emotional shock to inflammation during this time has been my fast track of feeling mentally and physically strong now.⁣

I returned home from the hospital 3 weeks ago after undergoing surgery to remove stage 1 breast cancer from my left breast. The word "cancer" is confronting and has taken me on a challenging journey of self-discovery, encompassing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. This experience has been a roller coaster ride, marked by uncertainties.⁣

The diagnosis brought an overwhelming fear of the unknown-what lay ahead, potential pain, and the side effects of treatment. Invasive surgery loomed, threatening to disrupt my life. The emotional turmoil that followed became a daily learning experience. Alongside extreme fatigue, emotions ran high, and pain from the sutures added to the mix. Despite this, I'm deeply grateful for the incredible support I've received from both loved ones and the medical team.⁣

Cancer is a common thread that connects us all, affecting either ourselves or someone we know. It's an unfamiliar and surreal experience, laden with a wide range of emotions and occasional moments of liberation. The surreal aspect stems from the contrast between my dedication to holistic well-being and the stark reality of battling a life-threatening disease. Cancer doesn't discriminate; it can affect anyone.⁣

Above all, I urge all women to prioritize their breast health. My cancer diagnosis was not detected through a mammogram but was discovered through an ultrasound. The mammogram failed to reveal the cancer. Therefore, I strongly advocate for regular breast ultrasounds, and in some cases, considering both screening methods. 💗💞💗⁣
