Trees shouldn't look all the same, be proud of having a gnarly looking tree that doesn't fit our view of what a tree should look like.

Moonah are an unusual looking tree in my opinion.
However if you have one of these, you should know they are protected by the council. Removing them isn't as simple as calling an arborist.
Luckily we were just pruning this guy.

It can become a beautiful habitat feature tree.

This can also be done on alive trees.

Torquay doesn't have many habitat trees, it's something you see more in Ocean Grove and older tree areas.
We also normally remove a tree or limb once it's died. Which means it won't ever turn into something to home birds and animals.
This is something we are trying to get into, to give people holistic tree work.
