Bringing to a close a great year, we have created some beautiful pieces and enjoyed every moment. Still loving what we do, we can't wait to show you what we have ready for 2024!
As the Christmas lights twinkle and we settle into the festive season, we are reflecting on the year and all that we have achieved. To all of our customers; thank you. Your faith in us is humbling. Each resin pour, each curve, and cut of the timber has produced bespoke works of art that we have treasured creating for you. To our suppliers and stockists; thank you for your ongoing support in helping us bring Little River Design to so many new people. #lovewhatwedo #handmade #supportlocaltownsville #timberstorytellers #handcrafted
Preparing a slab ready to pour. We have to remove any bark, loose timber, and sand the edges. The area has to be cleaned and sealed before moving to the pouring workshop. This piece has given us some cool holes and folds that will look awesome when finished. #supportlocaltownsville #handmade #timberstorytellers #lovewhatwedo #handcrafted #lovewhatyoudo
Another stunning table moving to its new home! Real magic happened when we combined a unique piece of Raintree timber and Deep Ocean Blue Resin to create a 1m round dining table. We kept the colour deep but translucent enough to see the live edges in the holes and cracks. The timber did all the talking with its rich, warm tones and stunning grain. We have made a little reel to show how the magic happens....but we do have to warn you....it does make it look easy!
New Chameleon colours! Is it blue, pink, purple? #supportlocaltownsville #lovewhatwedo #handmade #blackdiamondpigments
Wax on...wax off...nice way to finish a big day! #handcrafted #lovewhatwedo #supportlocaltownsville #handmade #blackdiamondpigments
Sorry, still travelling! We had to share this video. This young gentleman was hand carving animals in a little market in Hakodate. He obviously had been doing it for a while, but even pros can hurt themselves! He was using Japanese cedar timber, with its contrasting blonde and darker timber tones to shape the animals. #handmade #lovewhatyoudo
