#DONATE4MYANMAR HUMANITARIAN AID FOR MYANMAR: Support for IDPs and Covid-19 Hardship https://gofund.me/62ea3335 (IDP = Internally Displaced Persons) 📌 Many communities of IDP in Myanmar's regional states were driven away from their homes by the military. They were murdered and oppressed aggressively just because they refused to bow to the injustice of the military regime. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), currently, there are more than 300,000 IDPs from Myanmar regional states such as Kayah, Karen, Kachin and Chin. They have been stripped away of basic human rights and do not have access to proper shelters, food, water, essential items for hygiene and especially no protection against the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The most excruciating fact is that due to the brutalization of the military, they have witnessed their own houses burnt and even innocent women are exposed to rape. ❓Why are we asking for your support? With the ongoing military coup, the Myanmar official government has collapsed, and there are no governing bodies providing any sort of humanitarian or health aid for IDPs likewise for Myanmar citizens themselves. With regard to covid-19, IDPs have no access to the vital facilities to quarantine, treat and maintain basic health standards so how do they even survive? No one is protecting them for social security from the brutalisation of the military. No human beings deserve such harsh living conditions and they deserve the best of human rights. 💰 We at Myanmar Students' Association Australia have previously raised 60,000 dollars civil disobedience movement at the start of a military coup. Today we students are stepping in once again to collect funds and donate to IDP regions and camps that are relatively distant from cities and unreachable under normal circumstances. We are in touch with credible organisations and use the raised funds to allocate essential resources to IDPs. 🙏🏼 Hence we want to
