Mareeba speedway recap 27.07.24

Well what can we say, we made the joyous trip up the hiway and over the hill to go and race Mareeba Speedway .

Mareeba speedway have built a smaller track inside the big track, having never raced on such a small track before it was completely unknown territory for us with car set up and gearing so we just winged it.

Well it would have to be one of the most fun tracks to race on with a Formula500 in QLD that we have raced at. Cameron and the team up in mareeba are trying something different for F500s up in NQ and think they are definitely on the right track with making the racing closer and bringing back the fun of racing to the class.

Managed to bring it home in second for the feature race which was pretty good. Massive thanks to my crew who came up and kept the wheels going round.

If anyone who races a Formula500, outlaw kart or Formula400, Mareeba's new little track is somewhere you need to go and race, that's for sure.

Come on down to Mareeba Speedway tonight and enjoy some great racing action!! There might even be a surprise visit by Santa for “Christmas in July” (I promise it’s not Anthony in a Santa suit)!

Here we go for some dirt flinging FUN. Skies are clear, Huge jumping Castle is being blown up, Canteen is preparing yummy food, the bar is stocked, the pits are full and the 'Christmas in July' is organised with a chance Santa might show up! ..... see you all there!

Cairns Speedway 13.07.24 recap.

Well we ventured up the national hi-way goat track once again, need to go over the truck and check all the suspension and everything else that sounded like it rattled loose and book a chiro appointment now.

With a good field of 10 cars for North Queensland, the racing was great.

Results were.

Heat 1, started p3 finished p3
Heat 2, started p8 finished p4
Heat 3, started p8 finished p3
Feature, started p3 and finished p3

All in all it was a pretty good night, Cairns Speedway produced a pretty good track to race on that allowed passing easy.
