Just smashed out a quick ZWIFT race in B grade... I was 2w off my PB 20min wattage in this one... which is amazing after climbing 298m on FULGAZ LEJOG Stage 3 this morning.

New 2 hour power record tonight, and that was a new height record for me... I noticed that my power was around the 240w-250w mark up Alpe Du Zwift after getting up the Epic KOM. My PB is 308w I think....

Granted, I do not have many rides like this under my belt, so I’m likely to improve a lot the more I do it....

Hey everyone, just wanted to touch base with you all and let you know that I am doing ok. I have made the tough decision to leave the sport of competitive cycling and while I may jump on my MTB or my steelie for a coffee roll from time to time, I have no plans to get back into racing any time soon, be it online or IRL. I just wanted to thank everyone for hitting me up, seeing how I am and also keeping in touch. We all go through tough times and I am no different. Just got to keep our heads up, keep moving and work hard to get back on track.

Over a month of no live racing for me. I have been doing a lot of real world rides on the Mountain Bike as it is winter and that is my normal thing to do in winter! My indoor training is usually in the summer here in Townsville as it’s so damn hot I like to train in Aircon! Winter here is just too damn amazing to not get outdoors and ride! I hope you all aren’t missing me too much.

I’m considering getting rid of Strava. I just don’t care so much about the data from it anymore. Has anyone given it up and found it to be a good move?

Law Exams this week so won’t be posting any livestream unfortunately!! Mainly because I have my whole set up out in the lunge-room 😂

So I am going to race in A Grade in tonights CYCLING AUSTRALIA - THE CHOP... This is in response to Tommy Ing telling me I should race up a grade due to my massive sprint. I predict that I will last about 2km before I get spat out the back... Let's see how I go! I expect to get smashed so damn bad!

I have actually been very busy with selling a whole load of cycling parts for close friends and I have been working flat out on that and my law degree.

I have a new TT bike, well new meaning old but new to me. I will be doing a TT tomorrow at 8am. Join me on Zwift if you like! I won’t be streaming that one! I will be testing the fit on my TT bike.

My riding studio hosted one of Australia’s next pro riders in the form of Stephanie Corset yesterday as she rode a stage of the and TT series on . Stephanie is a phenomenal young talent on the bike, she knows how to hurt more than anyone I have ever seen. would be an amazing team for her ❤️ I’d love to see them identify this talent sooner than later.

After a very hard couple of months on the bike, I have been really loving this rest week. I will not ride the State of Origin tomorrow night and will get back on the bike on Sat or Sunday to start the next lot of my training and racing! This week off the bike will be so nice, I need it!

So that is the end of my weeks riding and I have achieved a PB weekly climbing. 2768m of climbing including 2 Alpe Du Zwifts and a Radio Tower!

Epic.

Just did the radio tower at 12:30am.... what was I thinking?
Certainly didn’t last the 128.8km but on a plus side, I hit 100kmh+ on the downhill and got the badge! 😂👌🏼

I’m crazy.

I decided to spend some time Zwifting on my own today and didn't stream my ride for a change. I did the Darryl Impey ride... It was very cool. I managed to take the sprint to the finish as well. Great to see some familiar faces in there! Tirian McManus Daryl Impey
