Currently studying Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness at the Fit College Campus in Townsville. Once I have graduated, I will start my personal training career with my business Clayton Sharp Fitness.
First day at Planet Fitness and first time inside a gym in 6 months. Time to get back into some consistency and weight training schedule. Might be a gym for beginners or old persons but I'm both right now haha. When I get back to a level of confidence, I will join a fighting gym again and look at competing professionally again. The Freight Train will be back!

Calorie fcking deficit is the ONLY way you can lose weight!!!
Remember, go to the gym because you want to and do it for you, not because you have to or you want to for someone else. You will fail to be consistent or disappointed at the progress.
It's a journey, not a destination.

My favorite fitness exercise I do everyday in the gym (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) is the cross-body reverse curl. This exercise targets the brachioradialis in the forearm and the brachialis in the upper arm. Strong forearms are important in Martial Arts!

Lay it all down tomorrow in an A class MMA fight. 7 years since my last MMA fight. Unfortunately I missed my weight by 2.6kg. Congratulations to my opponent for making weight and thank you for still giving me the opportunity to fight my first A class!
Why weight cutting should be stopped:
Amateur muay-thai fighter, Jessica Lindsay, was just 18 when she collapsed the day before a fight in November last year. She had been running in a sweat suit in an effort to lose those final few pounds and make her fight weight. The temperature in her home city of Perth, Australia had peaked at 31 degrees that day and she was admitted to hospital suffering from extreme dehydration. Lindsay died four days later when the decision to turn her life support off was made by her family. Lindsay is one of the few to have lost their life to weight cutting, with the majority of injuries being life long, but not life ending.
So I joined up to UMF (United Martial Arts & Fitness) tonight! My training schedule is:
Mon & Fri
6am - 6.45am & 5.20pm - 9pm
Tues, Wed, & Thurs
6am - 6.45am & 6.10pm - 9pm
Sat
8am - 9.30pm & 12pm - 1pm
This includes the following classes: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Combatives, Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA UMF Top Team, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Street Edge Krav Maga, Thump Boxing, and Conditioning!
