Battle of The Island Games 2024.
Hayley and Jacob volunteered to run our student led physiotherapy clinic during the busy games on Thursday Island, earlier this month. Under the supervision of Cooktown based physiotherapist, Rory Wilson, they assisted players with pre-game strapping/ massage as well as tended to injuries during and after games. Multidisciplinary Training Facilitator, Malama Grey, made sure our students were well looked after during their 4-day stay and confirmed that "the event organisers, players, officials, and wider community were grateful and incredibly appreciative of the services the students provided and pleaded for an ongoing partnership."
