The Marsupial of the Year vote has been hotting up here at Yarn. Of course, we’ve been having some hard debates over our favourite marsupials. Yet still, there was no stopping some team members from voting for the cuddly koala. Who can blame them?
You can vote for Marsupial of the Year here:

We’ve got an exciting launch coming this week, celebrating and protecting Australia’s striking and precious fauna! We can wait to share more information soon.
Introducing our new Tribe of Women collection!
This beautiful artwork is by Bunuba and Gija artist Eulalia Martin and speaks on the power of women supporting women.
In our Yarn Corp store, we now have a range of polos available in this design, all of which are customisable with your company logo. In partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), we’re excited to be donating $2 for every custom item sold to support world-class research.
“The colours represent skin colours, circles represent women of all different shapes, ages, sizes, our Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, relatives friendships. Women who love and support us through any area of life.” - Eulalia
These images were photographed in Kununurra in The Kimberly, WA by local photographer, Tim Lanzon at Timbee Photography The shoot features Eulalia herself with her own tribe of women. As well as showcasing the beauty of this design, Tim also captures the magnificence of this region with the true grace it deserves.

Have you checked your breasts recently?
With Pink Month fast approaching, we aim to raise more awareness about breast cancer.
Checking your breasts regularly can help you become more familiar with your anatomy and help you spot small changes earlier. Early detection creates many more opportunities for treatment, which can be life-saving.
Our Boobie Sista campaign in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation is raising money as well as awareness. So far, we have raised $4,634 of our $10,000 goal! This money helps fund world-class research to support NBCF’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. We have a huge range of uniforms and workplace merchandise in our Boobie Sista range that create important conversations (like this one!) that, ultimately, save lives!

Head over to our blog or the NBCF’s website for more information on checking your breasts.

Breast Check Guide Early detection gives you the best chance of successful breast cancer treatment. So take the time to get to know how your breasts look and feel normally, as this can help you notice changes sooner.
Today marks the anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. This document was adopted into the general assembly in 2007 and is the most detailed international document on the rights of Indigenous peoples.
It establishes a universal framework of minimum standards for the survival, dignity and well-being of the Indigenous peoples of the world. It is particularly significant because Indigenous peoples, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, were involved in its drafting. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States initially voted against the bill but have since pledged their support. It’s a moment to reflect on Australia's journey towards becoming a reconciliation nation.
On this day, we celebrate the diversity, endurance and determination of the world’s Indigenous Cultures.

Meet Caitlin Trindall, the proud Gomeroi woman behind our new Grounded in Country collection. Inspired by her travels in her van with her family, her new polo and clothing collection quickly became a best-seller.
She is the owner of Mirii Art and continues to showcases her bright and beautiful artworks, empowering wearers to connect: explore, learn, and respect Country. In this video, she gives us a peek into her incredible journeys, radiating positive energy about the beauty of Country.

Every uniform and custom merch item in our Boobie Sista raise donates $2 towards world-class research and treatment projects. We hope to continue raising funds for NBCF and continuing conversations that, ultimately, save lives. We’ve set a target this year of $10,000 and so far we’ve successfully raised $3,116 for NBCF!
The Boobie Sista artwork was created by Kombumerri and Butchulla artist Zowie Baumgart. She was inspired by her best friend, Kelly, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, thanks to early detection and an incredible support network, Kelly made a full recovery. We want to support Zowie and Kelly in spreading the word that early detection saves lives. This can be helped through regular self-examinations and women over 40 are encouraged to go for a free mammogram every 2 years.
Dress your team this Pink Month and help us start important conversations around breast cancer.

The Meaning behind 'Deadly Dads'
With Father’s Day this Sunday, Yarn Corporate proudly spotlights Bundjalung, Yuggera, and Bidjara artist Steven Bekue at Bundjalung Dreaming with his celebrated piece ‘Deadly Dads’. Through symbols of fatherhood, boomerangs, and animal tracks, this artwork tells the story of how teachings of Culture and knowledge from father figures and Elders shape who we become as individuals.
“The artwork represents showing love and respect to all the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and father figures in our lives and appreciating everything they do for us.” - Steven
‘Deadly Dads’ is available on polo shirts, scrubs, hi-vis shirts, mugs, and more, all customisable in various designs and sizes along with your company logo. Explore the collection online today.

Why should Indigenous artworks be used in uniforms and workplaces?
Displaying authentic First Nations artwork is a reflection of values. Displaying these artworks is a way to honour and respect Culture, especially when you get to know more about the story behind each artist and the piece that they’ve created. We can help you find uniforms and merch with artworks that don't just visually represent your company branding but also take a step towards aligning branding with company values. It’s about promoting a workplace environment where Culture and diversity are celebrated.
Plus, they look beautiful! The unique style of Indigenous Australian artists is something for everyone to enjoy. They are a way to spark important conversations and that’s how we’re collectively working towards becoming a reconciled nation.
With every sale at Yarn Corp, we pay royalties directly to the artist of the artwork chosen, supporting the career of that artist.
Congratulations Deadly Dot Pots! Such a beautiful project to be involved in with artwork that has such a powerful message. Increasing breast cancer awareness is saving lives and that’s very cool! 💜🩷

Yarn began as a marketplace working collaboratively with First Nations artists, creating unique products from clothing to drinkware, homewares and beyond. Yarn is a non-Indigenous owned business based in Meanjin (Brisbane) with the mission of fostering an inclusive marketplace for and in collaboration with the Indigenous community, providing a platform for Indigenous-owned businesses ally-friendly businesses, and Indigenous artists to share their culture and unique stories with our customers. All our products are designed with love to be ally-friendly!
💪🏽 Our best sellers at Yarn have always been our polos, but we also create unique tees, blouses, button-up shirts, hi-vis wear and more, all customisable with your company branding. 🎨 Our bespoke approach means our customers can select any artwork provided by our talented collaborating artists, or they can provide their own artwork. We assist companies in their RAP with creative Indigenous uniforms and merchandise and connect them with Indigenous artists for original artwork.
📈 Today, we are Australia’s leading supplier of Indigenous uniforms with over 15 years of experience promoting the richness, value, and complexity of First Nations Culture. We aim to deliver fashionable, functional, and high-quality workwear that celebrates the vibrant Culture of First Nations Australia in the modern workplace.
