While I await some fabric samples, working on some paintings. Not sure if it’s finished yet.
Anyone else like to spread their creativity to multiple areas.
Did I mention I just got a tufting gun too😅…. Just to expand the possibilities of new art creations. I can see this being either exciting or a total disaster with “ moi” being frustrated to the bitter end. 😂😂.
Oh dear….. 😬😬😬
But to trust in my word for the year, I gotta have “Faith” and a whole lot of patience 😅😬😂.
Another colour combination for my lined leaves design.I sooo need to get better at names first designs but at the moment this is it….. so original 😜.
Got to love when you receive fabric samples that your happy with. 🧡🤓This week I’ve been getting a few samples made to see how my designs appear on different substrates from some Australian printing companies.
Earlier in the week my velvet fabric sample turned up, and let’s just say it wasn’t what I was expecting and definitely needs tweaking. It also played a little with my overall confidence as a designer, logically I knew it was just a little set back, but my artist heart took it a little harder.
I think for me it’s getting the colours to match what I’m seeing on screen and working what works best for me, which seems to be organic linen and cotton. I’m loving the off colour white substrate.
What’s your favourite fabric to have your designs printed on and why?
A little experimental painting in progress. One thing I’ve realised is that I’m continually learning and growing. Not only regarding skills and knowledge but also within myself.
I’m discovering I’m not a patient person. I like to create in different mediums and I like to change my routine up.
Which does mean I seem to have various projects unfinished.😬😬😬 ( still working on this 😅).
So true to my form, in the middle of pattern design, I’m doing some paintings with no particular concepts for an another office space.
Here’s to creating my fellow creators . 🧡🤓
One day I hope to see these patterns come to life in a home filled with love….. 💜.I could definitely see this lining the walls of a young girls room.Heres to dreaming a little dream.
My word for this year was Faith. 🕊️
To keep moving forward and doing what I love and have faith things will work out.
So if you’ve read this far, let’s dream together and have faith in ourselves and in the universe.
Who else loves a little lilac in their lives sprinkled magic and faith. ✨
I came across this image from in Pinterest and fell in love. It’s part of my mood board for a possible colourway. Also loving vintaged linen bedspread in caramel and pink check.
Swipe to see one of my patterns using an inspiration from my walk in the Australian bush. Still finalising colours .
More banksias sketches.I forgot I had drawn these. I can’t get enough of this interesting flower. 🧡
A sneak peak on some patterns I’ve been working on. Still to finalise colours and pattern sizes.Sometimes I find inspiration in pretty objects I see. I absolutely love furniture pieces that show interesting textures or shapes.
So a shout out to Trit house for there Ziki side table pink onyx and Paola & Joy Evie table light in blush.
My Illustrator artboard is a bit of a mess but one thing at a time.

Warm minimalist.
Spoonflower latest challenge and my entry for it. Not sure if I hit the brief, but was nice to have a play. Voting opens soon.
Note, the last mockup image is slighter bigger than wallpaper size ( then available on spoon-flower), which I loved the look of.
If I was cleaver chook maybe splitting the design into two panels to achieve the size could work….. 🤔 hmm note to future self.
Anyway if you’ve read this far, have a glorious awesome day and rest of the week.🧡
A little wallpaper mockup 🧡 to a baby girls nursery using Grandmas Garden in tan from Summers Collection available now in my spoon-flower shop ( link in bio).
Grandmas geranium in tan (available in my spoonflower shop).
When I designed the farm collection based off my grandparents farm, grandmas geraniums came to my mind. This flower could be found at the entrance gate to the house, and brings a note of nostalgia.

Almost there, yippee. Enjoying the natural flow of paint and markings with no real destination at the moment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sometimes I think I should draw or paint something recognisable but I find just making marks really puts me in the zone, just pushing paint and ink around.

Hubby tried to find shapes within, he thinks he can see an owl in one. 😆.

Hope everyone’s days going well.

I’m enjoying playing with the dark backgrounds today, digital and on paper.🤎
It must be a khaki kind of day 😆

Things are starting to get hectic that’s for sure as the end of the school year wraps up for us southern hemisphere peeps.

Some digital art for day 16/30 of the
My daily art practice today was turning the motifs I’d been drawing into a pattern.I’ll admit I started doing this last night.
Might need to balance it a little more, tweak here and there, but could see this on fabric especially something like baby muslin wraps or pillow cases/bed sheets, or maybe some wallpaper too.
What do you think?

Here’s my stripe wallpaper from Charli’s collection.🤎
Another sketch for another day.
Doing a little sketching on a Sunday.
Feeling inspired.💜
One fact about me is that I love interior styling and decorating. I think I just love pretty things full stop and am forever thinking how I can change my space.
Most of the rooms in my home have had at least 2 colour changes in a 5 year time frame. I just can’t help myself.
It’s a problem 😂, but I just love playing with ideas and am now secretly thinking , a little purple in the house could be cute.
It’s also giving me ideas on another pattern collection. 🤔
I might have to do a mood-board for this one.

Afters yesterdays creative painting, I realised that I’ve also used these colours in my rabbit wallpaper from Charli’s rabbit collection. 💜🧡 what can I say they must be my colours this year. This cutie wallpaper is also shown here with the lilac stripe and daisy’s in orange Belgian linen fabric.
Available in my spoon-flower shop and in a few alternative colour ways (link in bio).
Feeling a little under the weather today but managed to still create something for day 10 of the .I’m really feeling these colours lately, lilacs, ochres, oranges, and pinks.
