Something I absolutely love is whipping up a green smoothie when I’m feeling a bit blah or sluggish. It’s not like a juice, it has the whole vegetable or fruit in it so it’s absolutely packed full of goodness. What I throw in depends on what I’ve got in the fridge. I like to make it vegetable heavy with just enough fruit for sweetness. I always include a big k**b of ginger, carrot, kale and celery and then I interchange these ingredients - apple, orange, lemon, mint, parsley, pineapple, cucumber, blueberrries. They can be fresh or frozen. I then add a splash of sugar free cranberry juice to make the smoothie into a consistency that I’m happy with. End result? Happy on the inside and on the outside. If you’re new to green smoothies then try this recipe to get you started and sub in ingredients to suit your taste buds. Enjoy 😊

I don’t consider myself to be a cake maker… it’s too finicky for me and I don’t have the attention to detail nor the patience required - but occasionally I give it a go and I surprise myself. I made my own wedding cake a few weeks ago. 12 layers of my favourite cake - walnut and cream cheese cake covered in cream cheese icing. And today I made my son’s 10th birthday cake - caramel sweet potato mudcake with cream cheese icing and caramel sauce. Both absolutely delicious and both easy on the eye.

I love that although I’m not naturally inclined towards making such masterpieces, if I can read, I can cook - and so that is what I did in my TM6. I gave these stunning recipes a go and amazed myself. Something that is usually only possible for a small portion of gifted pastry whizzes became accessible to me. I love that my TM6 makes me look like a masterchef - making difficult culinary jobs super easy with its step by step guided cooking.
