LET’S TALK RSVP’S 💍 When sending out your invites you need to ask guests to respond by a certain date, or réspondez s’il vous plaît. In my eyes (being a wedding coordinator and wanting everything confirmed ASAP), the earlier the better. Anywhere from 12-6 weeks is acceptable. You want to remember that not everyone will reply on time, so allow a two week buffer to chase up those (annoying) guests. 🤭 Before setting an RSVP date, ask your venue and/or caterer when they need your final numbers and dietary requirements by. This, plus your buffer, will usually determine your RSVP date ✔️ The absolute latest you want to be setting your RSVP date is 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. Pleeeease don’t have it any later than that, or you’ll make your wedding coordinator real sad 💔 ** Disclaimer: this reel is for the lols only. You would never invite someone to your wedding that you don’t want there, right?! 😉

What’s my biggest tip when it comes to sticking to the B word? 🤭 Set your non-negotiables from the get go. Decide what is most important to you both, and factor them into your budget. That might be free flowing cocktails throughout the night, a live band or flowers (& lots of them). Make sure you have room for them in the budget, so you’re not settling later down the track. 🍾 From there, you can cut back on other costs to ensure your non-negotiables fit. To do this, you’re going to need to start a budget spreadsheet early (need help creating one? Slide into my DM’s 😉). Keep on top of it! Every expense goes straight into your spreadsheet. Boring? Yes. Pratical & sexy? Also yes! This will ensure that you not only stick to your budget but you also get the wedding of your dreams 💖 I see too many people budget for the bare minimum to begin with, and then get overwhelmed when the budget starts to creep up further down the track! Don’t be that person- be realistic! If you’re definitely going to want espresso martini’s, budget for em! If you couldn’t care less about having a cake, get rid of it! It’s your wedding- so sticking to a budget template you found on google just ain’t gonna cut it 😘
