🏋️‍♀️The barbell should be priority for your first few years of training….

The barbell is one of the best tools to develop overall strength in newbies in the gym and should be prioritised over most machine movements. Heavy squats, deadlifts, bench press, barbell rows, strict press etc will change your body and add thickness like you never had before. The barbell isn’t the only tool to enhance your physique. Certain machines like hack squats, incline hammer strength press, cable machines all play their role in adding stimulus to our hypertrophy routines with lower fatigue costs than a barbell can; while the barbell is king, it should not be the ONLY tool in your program. The later into your training you become, the more you will find you’ll be able to get a lot more out of machines and dumbbells once your general barbell strength has hit a nice base level. Get your barbell work in early in the 1-10 rep range and watch your physique develop like it never has before.
