First pour in a while. My restaurant job has had far too much attention lately! Lockdown has a few advantages I guess.....

Our first attempt at a community market was mostly a success. I probably shouldn't leave Bella in charge for very long though......

Hello Legends! John's Wicks will be hitting up our first community market next Saturday 6th March from 10am-2pm. If you're floating around town, drop in and say G'day! It's a dog friendly event so bring your dog along. Bella will be there most likely napping There will be lots of cool stalls to check out. I'll also be unveiling my newest Art Series candles featuring the work of not to mention a whole heap of stuff I've been too lazy to put onto my website! 😮🙂

First pour of the year! What's your poison? Lemongrass and Lime? Roast Coffee and Chocolate? Sandalwood perhaps? Unscented Beeswax?
Please note: these candles aren't actually poison. The posion has been removed by professional posion handlers at a bar near you and replaced with pure soy or beeswax and delightful scents. 🙂

What should I call the candles now? Activated High rise candles ? Himalayan Soy Candles? Or someone on the balcony above vomited onto my balcony last night candles? There's only one floor above mine ffs! It must have been altitude sickness. 🙂

Tonight's episode of Melbourne's next Top Candles has been brutal! 2 competitors have been eliminated. They cracked under the pressure. This candle game is brutal.

A candle has no name. Unlike GoT, it needs a name! Otherwise we'll all end up disappointed and confused. 😮
This is the one and only Festive season type candle JW's will be doing in 2020. The scent is Candied Pecan and Spiced Rum.
Name options are:
Spicy Santa OR Rudolph & Rum.

So I have a question:
What are peoples thoughts on slight imperfections in recycled candle vessels?
I've tested a stack of them and they do the same job as the perfect store bought variety but I'm worried people will reject them like that ugly tomato the supermarkets won't sell. Instead they sell perfect looking tomatoes that taste like water. Should I save them for farmers markets, sell them anyway or ditch them altogether?

I've finally worked out a way to hide some of my ISO day drinking. Turn the empties into candles and smuggle them out the front door! The garbage collection man has become a little bit judgy lately.....

Adding some colour! These two colours were picked at random. 😏
These tall boy former pickling jars make great smaller space candles (think bathroom or office). They give off great scent and will burn for around 50 hours.
$20 a pop. Bargain!

A bit DIY light box action. How good is You Tube?! Pretty happy with the first up efforts especially when the pics were taken with a phone.
Borrowing a proper camera next week. Stay tuned! I'm sure you're all breathless with anticipation already....

There's a new Sheriff in town! A few of these candles have already been packed up and sent north to fight off Qld mozzies. This one is off to Perth to take up the fight in the West. Mozzies are jerks. Flies aren't much better.
