HCP / NDIS Funding Coordinator
About Us
Senior Helpers is a growing, family owned and operated business, based in the specular city of Cairns, FNQ.
Senior Helpers also offer support and assistance to 13 other offices in the Senior Helpers franchise around Australia. We are looking for an experienced financial coordinator to assist in the following.
We have an exciting opportunity for a HCP/NDIS Funding Coordinator to join our growing national team. This is an exciting time to join us, as we embark on an ambitious growth strategy across the business which will enable us to provide the highest quality in-home care in aged and disability supports to a wider community.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, confident, and competent HCP/NDIS Funding Coordinator with key knowledge of both Home Care Package and NDIS funding. As we grow, we require a person who can easily adapt to changing environments and build relationships, manage client budgets and identify and mitigate risks.
Reporting to the Managing Directors, the HCP/NDIS Funding Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
Ensure the quality and accuracy of data used or entered into Aged Care Provider Portal and NDIS Myplace Provider Portal payment systems
Clear and accurate record keeping of information
Ensure all clients expenditure meets the Home Care Package guidelines
Preparation & analysis of Home Care Package monthly claim
Prepare Home Care package purchases for payment, claiming and reconciling
Prepare and provide HCP clients with monthly budget statements in a timely fashion
Register new HCP clients via submitting ACERs via online claiming
Register HCP clients leave, departures and supplement requests via Aged Care Provider Portal
Comprehensively and within set timelines, exit a HCP client successfully
Ensure all HCP client data in Visual Care management system is current and correct
Build a solid and open working relationship with our Case Managers and Finance team
Create new service bookings matching the participants Schedule of Services in NDIS Myplace Provider Portal in a timely fashion
Create payment requests in NDIS Myplace Provider Portal fortnightly and reconcile in Xero
Assist Case Managers in preparing NDIS service quotes, utilising the correct NDIS service codes
Participate in updating policies and procedures and approved provider self-audits
Create monthly finance reports for Finance Manager and Directors
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Advanced knowledge of Aged Care Home Care Packages
Advanced knowledge NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Pricing Limits
Solid understanding of both Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS guidelines beyond simple compliance
Ongoing knowledge of both Aged Care and Disability sector legislation and impacts on funding
Advanced knowledge of NDIS claiming and invoicing processes
Advanced knowledge of Aged Care Provider Portal and My Aged Care Provider Portal
Strong knowledge of financial processes and funding requirements for service provisions
Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially excel
Intermediate Xero accounting software user
Solid DEXT Prepare accounting software user
Demonstrates a high level of adherence to compliance and statutory obligations
Capability to set and meet strict timelines and standards
Excellent attention to detail, analysis and problem solving skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Experience collecting, analysing data and extract insights that support strategic and operational decision-making

Salary: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour

Job description
Senior Helpers Far North Queensland is a growing, family owned, home community organisation providing a variety of government-funded services to the communities of Cairns and the Far North. We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team of professionals to specialise in continence assessments for both aged and NDIS clients.
What we are looking for:
Conduct in-depth continence assessments, writing reports and recommendations
Advocate for clients to ensure their rights.
Follow the relevant policies and procedures of Senior Helpers Far North Queensland
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA, (Degree in Nursing and at least 2 year’s post-graduate experience)
* Unrestricted drivers’ license
* Current Working with Vulnerable Persons’ Card
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Experience in the community completing continence assessments
