Having an auditory processing disorder can make you fatigued! APD often makes listening in complex environments, like a noisy restaurant or class room, very difficult. The additional effort that is required to listen and understand each day can result in listening-related fatigue. For adults, this may mean that you are exhausted after a day of having to listen and pay attention in meetings, to podcasts, group conversations or in social situations. For children, they may show signs of fatigue through increased levels of yawning and what we might think are โ€˜attentionโ€™ or โ€˜behaviouralโ€™ concerns. #apd #auditoryprocessingdisorder #listeningfatigue #listeningeffort #hearing #hearingloss #auditoryprocessing #auditoryprocessingdisorders #audiology #audiologist
