Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy provides pain relief and enhanced healing at a cellular level for equines of any discipline and at any level, and for their human partners.
FOMO is real when it comes to the yellow box! Here is Apples NIL for her PEMF! Not demanding at all!! :-)
Love my clients....making sure I stay hydrated!! Thank you ❤️
I have now returned from our Tamworth road trip!
If you and/ or your horses are feeling a little tired like us at the end of the season, then the best Christmas gift you might give is a PEMF session. After a busy comp season and a long road trip, my horses are very appreciative. So is my body.
This break is also an excellent time to reset their bodies and provide a wellness foundation for the 2024 season. This is equally applicable to leisure horses and aged horses who deserve just as much TLC! I am available through the Christmas & New Year break for PEMF sessions. Contact me if you want to book in or discuss. 0423 066 456
10 Most Important Things Fascia Does For Your Horse
Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and permeates all structures in the body, including muscles, bones, organs, and nerves. It’s a vital component of your horse’s body, providing structural support, facilitating movement, and playing a vital role in overall health and well-being.
Here are 10 of the most important things that fascia does for your horse:
Provides Structural Support: Fascia surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs, helping to maintain the shape and integrity of the body.
Facilitates Movement: Fascia provides a smooth surface for muscles to glide over and reduces friction between different tissues, allowing for efficient movement.
Distributes Forces: Fascia helps to distribute forces evenly throughout the body, reducing the risk of injury and allowing for efficient movement.
Absorbs Shock: Fascia helps to absorb shock during movement, protecting the body from injury.
Range of Motion: Fascia it acts as a sheath around muscles and other structures. If fascia becomes restricted or tight, it will limit ROM by impeding the movement of muscles and joints. Healthy fascia is essential for maintaining range of motion in the horse’s body.
Enhances Proprioception: Fascia contains sensory receptors that play a role in proprioception, which is essential for athletic performance and coordination.
Aids in Circulation: Fascia contains blood vessels and plays a role in delivering oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and other tissues. Tight fascia will limit circulation.
Supports the Immune System: Fascia contains immune cells and other types of cells that can migrate and travel through the tissue, contributing to the immune response and tissue repair processes that play a role in immune function, helping to protect the horse’s body from illness and disease.
Supports the Nervous System: Fascia contains nerve receptors and plays a role in transmitting sensory information throughout the body.
Fascia also plays a role in transporting fluids, such as blood, lymph, and interstitial fluid, throughout the body. It contains channels and spaces that allow for the movement and exchange of fluids.
You can help keep your horse’s fascia healthy and functioning optimally by providing regular exercise with adequate warm-up and cool down, range of motion exercises, good nutrition and hydration, carefully monitoring for signs of infection or injury, and by incorporating regular myofascial release into your care routine. PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) Therapy is a perfect and safe way to do this.
Myofascial release promotes circulation, reduces tension and adhesions, and improves overall function. As part of a maintenance program, it can also help to prevent injury by identifying and addressing areas of muscle tension or imbalance before they become a problem.
Healthy fascia is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being in your horse’s body, supporting athletic performance, preventing injury, and promoting exercise, injury and illness recovery.
Benefits of massage with myofascial release include improved muscle function, improved joint alignment, improved self-awareness, mobilized fascia, an increase in stride length and range of motion, enhanced relaxation and improved overall performance and recovery.
And now to PEMF yours truly at the end of the day to stay supple & energised!
One of the side benefits of getting a PEMF session....they get an all over body check. Today I found an engorged tick that had been migrating around this lovely gelding's poll. Problem solved!
Post-surgery PEMF to trigger & support the healing & regeneration cascade. Contact Performaxx Pulse Therapy to find out how the power of pulse can help.
Late finish last night, heading home from the beautiful Bellara Park at 9pm after PEMFing very appreciative horses at a saddle fitting clinic. The sunsets and moon landscapes made it even more special! Thanks to DJ from Saddle Fitting SEQ for the collab. which ultimately helps our horses' wellbeing & performance.
It might be chilly but the PEMFing continues. Contact Performaxx Pulse Therapy to keep your horses tuned!

Peaceful office today...
Sheep says "what about me?"! PEMF please 🐑
PEMF doesn't discriminate....all shapes & sizes love the benefits.....including Milo at 11hh!!
Book in while you can! With comps now getting into full swing, I am booked out at least 2 weeks in advance. Please plan ahead and get in touch early to avoid disappointment. What a beautiful diversity of horses, dogs and people I have the privilege of PEMFing. OTTs being rehabbed & retrained, aged and retired horses getting some TLC, and performance horses across a range of disciplines - endurance, carriage, dressage, reining, showjumping, eventing, working eq and campdrafting. There are too many breeds to mention. Then there are the people needing relief from fatigue and soreness and the gorgeous dogs I get to work with - frenchies, westies, collies, great danes and labs. Best of luck to everyone out there in the arena this weekend!
Cuteness on the job today
Amongst the 6 horses and 2 people I PEMFd today, it was a bonus to capture nature at work..... look closely for the snake in the rafters! :-)
It's a thing.....PEMF dog FOMO!! While Coco & her human have their sessions, Minna makes it clear who is NIL!!
The benefits of Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field (PEMF) therapy apply to both humans and animals.
So this darling boxer girl is making sure she doesn't miss the queue while the horse gets PEMFd.....never a surprise that dogs gravitate to the yellow box!!
Proof is in the pudding.....
Nice office.....
Be heat aware! Our horses are too precious to put at risk. Thank you WestVETS Equine Hospital
Have you ever considered asking for proof of PEMF practitioner certification?
PEMF therapy is a curious pairing of electrical engineering and an understanding of cell biology. I would like to add that a lifetime of equine experience, an understanding of the link between biomechanics and performance and a passion for KAIZEN, make a huge positive difference too.
To qualify as a certified Pulse Equine (& Pulse Centres - human/ canine) PEMF practitioner, one must study Levels I, II & III certification and pass examinations for those levels. Only then is one permitted to purchase and operate a machine.
With a growing second-hand market for PEMF machines in Australia, this requirement may well be neglected, and you are very well advised to ask for proof of practitioner certification as evidenced below. I am more than happy to do so! Contact me if you want to benefit from the power of pulse Performaxx Pulse Therapy
Kudos to this owner whose horse injured her hind leg recently. After prompt veterinary attention and daily dressings, she contacted Performaxx Pulse Therapy to enhance the healing process with regular and targeted sessions. PEMF therapy supports the important work of fibroblasts in tissue repair. You can see the nerve exposed (circled) on the degloved hock in the first image and, 2 weeks later, the scar is shrinking and sealing very well. Lameness is gone and hopefully the 2023 season will be a great one! Well done for smart choices by this client.
I am working in the Brisbane & Lockyer Valley area (Lowood/ Glamorgan Vale/ Fernvale/ Gatton) on Tuesday Jan 3. Contact me if you want to book yourself/ horse or dog in for a PEMF session.
I hope your 2023 is as happy as this harvest mouse!

From Chicko's owner -
Chicko is a 30-ish year old Snowy River Brumby x Stock horse.
Chicko had a rough start to life and was lucky enough to be picked up by a local vet in Far East Gippsland, Victoria. He was then passed onto his current owner. Many, many cherished years have passed and Chicko is now living his best life out as a retired and pampered pet. Ageing hasn't been easy on the old man with arthritis and cushings to deal with. However, with the help of Sharee @ Performaxx Pulse Therapy and the vets at Old Mill, he is feeling so much better and is returning to his much-loved cheeky self 🥰
I AM BACK IN ACTION!
Thanks to the power of PEMF technology, my recovery from injury has been extraordinary and I am back PEMFing over the Christmas / New Year's break and into 2023. If you are turning your horse/s out over this period or, like me, getting stuck into pre-season training then get in touch so that the science of PEMF can help enhance and support your goals and hard work. I hope everyone enjoys a happy and safe holiday period and I look forward to working with all of you and your animals again soon.
DID YOU KNOW?
PEMF therapy is a preventative therapy alleviating soreness, releasing tension, improving range of motion, reducing susceptibility to injury and speeding recovery after workouts or injury. I help horses, dogs and people.
With years of experience in equestrian competition and as a PEMF practitioner, I am able to determine key junctions of the horse that consistently accumulate tension and affect their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This can manifest as reduced performance, obvious discomfort, loss of willingness and/ or “behavioural problems”. With PEMF technology, I can assist the horse in releasing those areas that it cannot release on its own.
So no matter the discipline, or whether you ride competitively or for pleasure (or if you don’t ride at all), contact me about how PEMF therapy can help.
