Last night was our last jam for quite some time with our beloved bass player of 5 years, Liam "the blade" Jackson.. this man has been much more than just a bass player.. his song writing input, creativity and dedication to artistic integrity is of the finest quality and we are going to find it very hard to replace everything he brought to the band.. including his many and frequent bouts of bizarre shenanigans!!
we wish him all the very best on his travels across Europe and beyond! - We love you brother!!
If you want to catch him in action one last time then come on down to the Penny Black this Sunday. 2 sets of funky reggae tunes out in the beer garden, under the blue sunny sky of Brunswick! kicks off from 4pm, 420 Sydney rd.

'Twas a glorious day up in the Dandenong Ranges today and the music flowed sweetly through the mountain air.
Today's Dog and Bone Session involved a very erudite and positive NICHOLAS EMSLEY from CENTRE AND THE SOUTH. The band's material all centres around messages of good hope/will/action, something we should all adhere to/embrace in these uncertain times.
The Korgis were this week's 'classic of the week', which might surprise a few pundits. Their origin lies in STACKRIDGE (check that band out) and the tracks played today were: Something About The Beatles and Young n Russian (acoustic version).
Both these tracks are lyrically and musically sound and very different to the band's better known hits.
Next week, on the Dog and Bone Session, NICKY BOMBA will be joining U and U for a casual chat and no doubt some Melbourne Ska Orchestra tracks will be aired too, possibly alongside something from the John Butler Trio.
