Two Spanish slow disco tracks from 1977, originally released in 7” format, brought back in 12” format with an additional extended edit, very respectful to the original. “Zorongo” is a re-interpretation of a Andalucian popular folk song with Arabic influence, a gypsy love song from ancient times which was collected and presented by Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca before his death/disappearing during the Spanish Civil War. Jobam’s new arrangement gives it a heavy downtempo disco facelift, taking the original gypsy warrior intensities of dealing with love and contrasting them with a beautiful orchestral string driven addition to the theme. Heavy Balearic, emotionally loaded gypsy business, something one could very easily imagine hearing at a 10 hour Harvey set in Pikes, Ibiza.

Beppe’s dance floor-tested toolkit features cosmic bliss, guitar riffs reminiscent of Santana’s long-lost Italian cousin, evocative odes to the queen of love, and a love ballad from Italy’s supposed Gatsby. Reissue from 1991, Egyptian cover version of Suzanne Vega - Toms Diner by Simone, Egyptian singer and actress. Originally only released on CD, now remastered for vinyl and pressed on 12” maxi format. Featuring 2 original tracks - “Mabsouta” and “Al Eih” including a bonus beat edit of “Rekka” by Castro. “Mabsouta” is a game changing Arabic cover version of a track that stayed in a generation’s childhood memories - Tom’s Dinner by Suzanne Vega. Simone’s beautiful voice in Arabic brings an entirely new meaning to what might have been a track you couldn’t hear anymore, highly refreshing!

Borgo Dora is a multiethnic neighborhood located in the centre of Torino. A perfect example of inclusion between different people from (mainly) the Mediterranean area and home to Porta Palazzo, the largest open-air market in Europe.

In 1991, a newly born studio located in the middle of the district guided by Biagio Puma decided to give birth to a dance lp called Teknoafro with the support of local Techno dj Bart Spinelli. The title almost speaks for itself, mixing the Italian “Afro” dj culture and the new Akai samplers with 909-driven Techno rhythms. The result was impressive, giving birth to a quite unique recording that reveals many aspects of the ‘90s Italian dance creativity and tapestry.
Dualismo Sound comes with a fully remastered selection of 6 tracks taken from the original lp.

Digital Imagination - The Essence of Thought” is a sci-fi inspired mixture of House, full-speed Trance and Trip Hop coming from a young Ted Heinz falling in love with electronic music in the thriving early 90s Boston rave scene. Originally release by Concept Records in 1993 and with original copies now hard to get ahold of, we are happy to give this record a full reissue treatment with audio restored from the original DAT tape and a new graphic design. Thought is the essence of where you are now.

Tokyo born, Naarm/ Melbourne based DJ Genki Tanaka continually impresses dance floors with his unique style in music, ranging across a broad spectrum of genres, which he has showcased in our most recent addition to our mix series.

His music, heavily inspired by the characteristics of his hometown Shinjuku Kabuki-Cho provides an eccentric experience to the listener.

Recently returning from a tour in Japan where he played at various venues including world-renowned WOMB Tokyo. And supporting DJs such as Kia, Reptant, Andy Garvey, Chaos In The CBD, Byron The Aquarius and CC:DISCO! throughout his career.

Various - Clouds Over Europe. Now in stock

Reissue of the illusive 1993 EP ‘Clouds Over Europe’ out of Sweden.

This EP was orginally only 100 promo white labels without a proper full production release due to pre-internet slow communication from pending labels that were interested but never followed through. Music was changing so fast at that time, a year later perhaps those labels changed their mind. We will never know. Aquarian Atmosphere ‘White Clouds’ is the most highly regarded track from this album for many diggers.

An amazing ambient techno track that sounds like classic Rising High records material to us. Sure to be played at chill out rooms everywhere.

DJ Seen - Hypnotique EP. Now Available

The A-side opens up steady for waves of relaxation and falls into a deep dreaming ‘Hypnotique’ with Adam Collins (Omni A.M.) on the remix. Side B performs a natural switch, activating the brainwaves & inducing a woke state while trying to understand the sudden synth-explosions hailing through the tribalistic grooves of Bandicoot. The record ends with a burst of insight at 6am.
