We attended the Dicker Data Tech X conference last week at the Crown Casino. Thanks to our friends at Retzlaff Technology Services for the invite.

Microsoft, HP, Dell, Lenovo and others were there to provide news on emerging technologies. We got excited with the talk of IoT and what that could mean in the future.

IoT stands for Internet of Things which will essentially provide a global network between devices and us. For example, you could be travelling to your destination and a notification will come up on the road board saying you should exit because there is an incident ahead. That sort of thing. Of course our appalling internet service would have to improve a great deal for this to work at its peak, but you never know what can happen in the future.

Last month's "labour of love" was launched last week and we can now tell you all about it.
