What to Pair with a Steak
Australian Shiraz is a robust wine with bold flavours, and it pairs perfectly with grilled or roasted dishes. The jammy fruit and intense richness of the wine cut through the fatty richness of meaty dishes such as Hamburgers, Roast Beef, Steak, Lamb, Venison, and Wild Boar. In addition to the fruity aromas, there are notes of dark chocolate, spice, smoke and black pepper which further enhance the flavour combinations. When pairing a steak with Australian Shiraz, be sure to choose one that is full-bodied and has a high tannin level in order to fully complement the juicy meat. Enjoy!

β¬οΈWe might be HOPELESS at cooking steak but we can tell you that the perfect paring for a juicy steak is a bottle of Shiraz
The cooked with mild spicy seasonings a good steak can accentuate the rich flavors of a Shiraz
If your steak of choice is a fatty one e.g. wagyu the fats make the Tannin structure of Shiraz smooth and pleasant
Further, not all Shirazes are made equal. We recommend picking wines from warmer growing climates such as Australia. The Shirazes produced on warmer climates product a distinct full body, rich flavor textured Shiraz
