What is a konjac sponge?🌼 🌿The konjac sponge is an all natural, sustainable and zero waste face and body cleansing treasure. Using just water (option to add cleanser also), the konjac sponge gently cleanses, unclogs pores and ever so slightly exfoliates the skin without disturbing its natural balance, leaving it smooth and glowing.
🌿Made from the root fibre of the konjac plant, the sponge is alkaline and naturally rich in many of the vitamins, minerals, proteins and lipids the skin needs for optimal health. Once ready for replacing, the sponge can simply be composted as it is fully biodegradable. A wonderful replacement to artificial sponges which often contain nasties or face cloths which requires frequent washing.

My New Rescue Soaps🤗🌼
I initially thought of making my own soap to add to my collection before another idea came to mind. I kept thinking is there a more sustainable way to do this? Is there a way to create even less? Is there a way to create something equally as beautiful that is still natural and aligns with my products and philosophy?
That’s when the idea sparked to mind✨
I reached out to some other local small businesses who were hand making beautiful all natural soaps. Sadly so many amazing pieces of soap end up in landfill or wasted because they are edges, not symmetrical, smaller, uneven and so on. I found a business who saves her off cuts for me and is willing to let me give them a new life🌿💗
So here we have it! Beautiful packs of all natural, plant based, sustainable and locally hand made soaps🌼

Primary School Activity packs🌼🌼🌼
I was kindly invited to run an online learning activity at Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School this week for the year 5 sustainability unit. The children were able to pick up a pack each from school we made to make their own fresh room spray in the online learning class together. I ran this class alongside a good friend who is equally as passionate about the environment and helps to inspire local primary schools in her area on ways we can all make a difference. We also had a discussion on small things that make a big difference that children can do themselves at home to lessen their environmental footprint👣🌏🌿 It is always great to share knowledge on sustainability and give power to the younger generations✨

Wonderful day at South Melbourne Primary School with the year 2 students last month. I was kindly invited as part of their sustainability unit to teach them ways we can reuse items we already have and upcycle for a new purpose🌼🌱The children enjoyed making their own body wash using sustainable and ethical ingredients which are healthy for our body and the planet. It was amazing to see how naturally passionate these young children are about protecting the planet whilst having fun learning something new. The products were gifted to a member of their family as part of the schools Mother’s Day stall.

🌼I created today’s using petals that had fallen from our roses, flowers fallen off our plants and trees and picked some daisies from the park.
🌼 Some of these plants are also ingredients in my handmade products🌱

Everyone is unique and therefore each order I receive is a range of different combinations. It should be about minimalism and what we truly need, which is why I have created a range of everyday essentials. Don’t get caught up with consumerism which society pushes on us everyday, instead buy what you truely need, then once you’ve got it keep that bottle to refill for years to come to continue enjoying the products you love without the constant waste cycle. Let’s work together to make this earth a better place and nourish our bodies and minds🌸✌️

What goes into your body shouldn’t be different to what you put on your body 🌼💦🌿
- Source as much as you can from local farmers markets ensuring your money goes straight to the farmers, the food is fresh and organic and bring your own reusable bags.
- Not only does the fresh produce taste better but it’s more nutritious and contains more variety (always finding cool new fruits and veg)🥭🍑🍇
- Supporting local and being sustainable is something we should incorporate with everything in our lives as much as possible
- Flip over your skin care and cleaning products and read the label, if there are ingredients that you don’t know or that you wouldn’t feel is safe to consume then it’s probably time to make the switch to natural. Obviously you aren’t consciously consuming them but what you put on your skin and clean your home with ends up absorbing into your body through your skin or lungs so make the switch to natural to benefit your body and the planet.
