possibly the best soup i've ever tasted. the flavours, textures and freshness were exquisite. Created by the in house chef Ibu Ida at Villa Pulau Cinta on Gili Meno.

this pub sure punches above its weight - great food !!

serves the freshest fish n chips - and much more.
Situated on Freo's Fisherman's Wharf, Kailis are in the business of selling fresh fish - and it doesn't come any fresher than this. Boasting 4 separate stations -a raw bar, BBQ & grill bar, fry bar, and gelato/dessert bar with a separate drinks bar - everyone can order separately to suit their desire.
The fried Snapper n Chips was up there with the best - a crispy batter that sealed and steamed the fish to perfection. Chips were generous and there were plenty of side dishes to choose from including scallops and squid rings.
Sometimes it's the simple things in life that bring joy. Treat yourself.

Chin Chin Sydney.
Not your usual Asian restaurant, Chin Chin is more contemporary Australian fused with SE Asian flavours, resulting in a bold collision of cultures. The trademark Chin Chin taste is a mix of freshness, spice heat & exotic herbs.
The marinated King Fish here is a perfect example - the added Asian twist offering a depth of flavours not usually found in such dishes.
Their philosophy that eating and drinking should be fun and relaxing certainly works for the Guru and satisfies the tastebuds too !

Truly superb.

Finally, an excellent dining option on Rottnest. Isola Bar & Cibo offers a fresh take on Italian classics with quality WA produce.
Reflecting the laid back simplicity of island life with food to match and the added sophistication of an Italianate drinks list serving classic cocktails & spritz.
The fresh pasta dishes and WA seafood cooked over a charcoal grill are superb. The affetatti misti is hard to ignore - locally made salumi shaved to order, paired with house pickles and pane carasau.
Laze back during the Aperitivo Afternoons - with the sunshine over beautiful Thomson's Bay, you can easily dream you're on the Amalfi Coast . Enjoy.

Strange Company is a welcoming oasis of civility in the back streets of bustling Freo - offering a relaxed modern vibe with food and drink to match.
These Grilled Prawns with a tomato & garlicky mayo were a highlight of the shared plates we scoffed.
Sunday afternoons also offer live jazz, making it an ideal place to chill and wind down the week.

Looking for the best Cinnamon Scrolls in Perth ? look no further. A recent re-visit to the NSS proved that after 4 years this Cottesloe game changer has still got it. And by it – I mean some of the best artisan bakery bread and take away food in Perth.
All made fresh in store ,
By sticking with what they do best – simple but great food - they consistently remain at the head of the pack. Along with excellent bread, there is a selection of take away food, including conti baguettes and hand pulled 18 hour pizza, pies and sausage rolls, fluffy gnocchi and more.
Back to those cinnamon scrolls – the guru reckons these are best in Perth – best grabbed warm, these moist, sugary cinnamon laden delights tick all the boxes - tho they never usually make it back home as their tempting smell demands they are scoffed en-route. It’s the best sticky experience in a car you have without getting arrested.
Catering - We’ve not indulged yet but the catering options look great too - from grazing boards to more substantial dishes they look like they can cater to the discerning palate or those who just love good food.
Open early from 8am for breakfast to 8pm for dinner – our only complaint is they haven’t got a branch closer to home.

Tiny's Island Market Pita @ Island Market Trigg. For 2 weekends only this SPECIAL pita filled with Tiny's Charcoal Chicken , smoked tomatoes, pickled peppers, sumac onions - served with a side of Aleppo spiced chips . Perfect for a delicious, casual graze and gaze.

Tucked away behind the 7 Eleven servo is the unassuming Munch Box and serving what we think is the best Bành Mì in Perth's NS. The daily queue of tradies and local workers out the door is testament to the high quality of the food.
While the Bành Mì is the most popular, there is also a range of salad and noodle bowls, and other bites (skewers, spring rolls)- all fresh and full of flavour .
The rolls are crispy crusted and light and choice of fillings range from Original (cold cuts) to Crispy Pork Belly, Grilled Mince Pork, Meatball, Chicken or Tofu.
Always delicious and satisfying.
Open from 6:30 for breakfast thru to around 2:30.
Hint: arrive around 11:45 to avoid the worst of the lunchtime lines.

Lot Six Zero.
Ever wake up and feel like bacon & eggs but you also want be healthy ? Look no further.
Tucked away in the bituminised desert that is Innaloo, is this oasis of a cafe eatery - Lot Zero Sixty.
Breakfast options range from decadent syrup smothered pancakes, granolas, Paleo dishes, and Keto omelettes with options.
This delicious Breakfast Salad w rocket, bacon, eggs, cherry tom's, avo, pickled carrots & aioli, ticked all the boxes and we came away feeling satisfied and a lil virtuous .
The lunch menu takes it up a notch with other great salads, healthy bowls, tacos, wraps and burgers (own specially ground beef).
Add a great smoothie selections and pressed juices and you have the perfect kick start to the day.
PS: the coffee here could be a contender for Perth's best - if not the best it's very close.

Indigo Oscar.
Popping up in Cottesloe's landmark beachside building, Indigo Oscar offers a vibrant & casual venue to indulge in some Latin American inspired food and drinks.
With a mix of street food inspired dishes - such as these delicious Pineapple glazed Pork Belly skewers with a Colombian inspired salsa. Other dishes include Crab with wood fired mini maize flatbreads, Crispy School Prawns, Oysters with Tequila & Finger Lime vinaigrette, and Corn Cobs with coriander, chilli mayo and fetta. More offerings include whole/half chicken & Aji Verde, Octopus escabeche, Kingfish Ceviche, Barramundi Coconut Mosquera (Brazilian stew) Charred Steak with chimichurri sauce and more.
Try to leave room for some special Gusto gelato - created exclusively.
