Yesterday, Student Environment Alliance members were part of a community walk on. We shut down logging at two different sites at Shea’s Nob.

BREAKING: Logging halted in Orara East State Forest by the local community. They have this to say...

“This morning 18 students and forest defenders stopped the logging in Orara East State Forest for 3 hours before two police cars showed up. There is immense devastation in this forest, and is continuing to get destroyed at an alarming rate. Despite the very depressing scene at the dump, and forestry corp/ contractors harassing kids both verbally and physically, we continued to dance and smile!!”

Yesterday, a gathering took place in Orara East State Forest, Gumbaynggirr Land. Community members came together in a meditation circle to honor the forest that was clear-felled last year. It was a moment of paying respects to all that was lost during the logging operation.

The interconnectedness of these forests through their root structures allowed the community to engage in meaningful conversations and express gratitude for these ecosystems and their vital role in supporting life.

This experience allowed for a reconnection with nature, and was a reminder of the ongoing fight for environmental preservation.

We would also like to acknowledge that we are living on the stolen lands of the Gumbaynggirr people, where sovereignty was never ceded. We recognise the intersectionality’s of our movement and acknowledge the work that First Nations people have done for years to preserve country. SEA aims to fight for all social justice issues, including the genocide happening in Gaza, as we will continue to stand up in solidarity of Palestine.

where do i even begin? went to sydney and participated in Boom Clash Rockstar and were fantastic. recently wowed the stage at the Bellingen Memorial Hall and were nothing short of sensational. played tons of gigs all around and each and everyone was mind blowingly good

“we wanted to play for this concert for climate to have a chance at raising awareness as well as funds for an issue that affects our generation in a variety of ways. We’re a surf punk/alt rock band who’s keen to rock the stage. Expect some crazy guitar killer bass lines heavy drums and sweet vocals. Our tracks range from heavy and fast to soft and slow with influences from Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Grogans and Led Zeppelin our sound is sure to get you going !“

marty, kurt, and luke have been dominating the hardcore music scene around coffs together and their concerts are, to put it simply, incredible. they bring such a strong and energetic energy to their gigs PLUS!!!! theyre all such cool people on their own

if you’re into the hardcore metal scene, like i am, i would highly recommend these guys like no other. concert for climate is going to be FILLED with talent and i am so so so excited to see you guys there having the time of your life with me 🙏🙏
