In the lead up to the release of the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC this month, I've recently played Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 3, and I'm about half way through Dark Souls 2. (Yes, I'm single. How could you tell? 😅)

Here are the bosses from each game (except DS2) that can go f**k themselves. 🤬

Dark Souls 1 🏃🔥🌳 Bed of Chaos (the other stupid giant running one)

Dark Souls 3 👑🧟🐉 Nameless King (the phase 1 dragon was easy AF, but the hit boxes on his attacks in phase 2 are huge, and the boxes to hit him are tiny. Not fun)

I killed them all though because I'm God's gift to video games. Didn't even smash a single controller. 💪

Peter here, we just finished a job for our mates over at Higher Ranking. They went through a complete glow-up/rebrand including a brand-spanking new website. 🌐

😕 Kym came to us needing an animation to go on the sexy new website, but had no script and no idea of what illustration style he wanted.

☕ I met up with Kym at a café to put the bones of script together. I got it started, then handballed it to scripting superstar Emma Hartley to punch it up.

🧠 With that out of the way, Kym and I had an additional brainstorming session over video chat where I presented a variety of different animation styles.

💡 In that meeting we decided to go for a minimalist duotone illustration style utilising only Higher Ranking's brand colours, with some screen captures of the Higher Ranking platform to showcase the software. That way no matter where you pause in the video it still really looks like it belongs on that website.

😍 Mud and I knew the perfect animator for the job, so we reached out to our friend Holly over at Flow Motion and asked if she was down for our millionth collaboration together. Thankfully she said yes! It's good to know she's not sick of us yet.

👌 Yada yada yada, an animation was born and now lives harmoniously on the Higher Ranking website, and I think it looks great. They're happy. We're happy. Everybody is happy!

In memoriam of my time in Rome last month I'll be half-arsing today's post because it's a Sunday - which in Catholicism is the Lord's Day which means I shouldn't have to work today.

And while I know that's technically not what that means, it's the lesson I'm choosing to take away...

it was a close call but Burger took out the bronze with Ninja coming in at 4th.

our cats are on average are moving about 6 hours daily, which is far more than what either of their human counterparts do, so its very impressive and we're very proud of them.

(I also low key think the cat that won is cheating 👀)

After two weeks of Swedish meatballs followed by two weeks of Italian pasta, Peter has finally reached the peak physical form (spherical) to put him in a really strong starting position for this year's push up challenge.

The challenge is to complete 3,249 push-ups between 5-28 June 2024 to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

Funds raised will go towards much-needed mental health services and initiatives in Australia.

Peter has upped his fundraising target to $500 this year.

Today I fly back to Australia. Which is great, because I'm basically out of instagram stories to re-purpose.

I did take a photo of a Spiderman statue hanging on a wall across the road from the flat Michael and I stayed in. I shared it with a caption from the YouTube series Italian Spiderman - and it went over most people's heads.

On one of the days I needed to visit a laundry to wash clothes. I shared a photo of it because Instagram is usually a curated experience where people only show you the good parts and make their lives look way more interesting than they actually are - and I kinda hate that.

I wanted to show that even though I'm doing heaps of cool s**t over here - it's not all oceans and volcanoes. No matter who you are or how interesting your life is, everything stops when you need to wash your jocks.

Sicily is home to the highest Mediterranean island mountain and world's most active volcano - Mount Etna.

We visited the top. Here we learned Australians in direct sunlight don't experience cold the same way the rest of the world does. Michael and I did most of the walk in t-shirts while everybody else was dressed like they were at the snow.

We drove to Taormina for some swimming and to visit Castelmola.

Not a heap of photos of this day because my phone screen is cracked and so it doesn't mix very well with water.

I also didn't take photos of Castelmola because, again, forgot I needed content. And I was trying to be present in the moment and all that s**t.

This was the day Giacomo took us to Aci Castello and Aci Trezza.

Food in Catania is also amazing, but I didn't take any photos of food because;

A) I forgot I needed content for this.
B) I'm not basic.

Lol. Peter again. I kinda forgot I'd have another week to do posts before I got back and I stopped taking photos on the nice camera. So now you get a weeks worth of stuff ripped out of my instagram story.

After Rome, Michael and I headed to Catania in Sicily - our mum was born there.

We spent most of the time with our cousin Giacomo. He's a legend.

when a client from years ago comes back and wants a change made and you know your working files for that project is in absolute shambles

when we're running video interviews, we typically get our talent to set their eye line off camera - so usually you'll be making eye contact with the director that is sitting just to the side of the camera.

there's a lot of reasons why this is beneficial - one of which is talking to a person is a lot easier and more comfortable than talking into a camera.

another reason is to help avoid you looking like this.

totally not a competition cat activity mid-month update -

Burger ahead but the difference is slim!! Ninja really putting in the work to get his numbers up. Both felines solidly in top 5, aiming for top 3 in the next fortnight.

It's currently 1:42AM on Friday morning and I just edited and scheduled these photos. Sorry if they suck. I'm sleep deprived.

It's Michael and I at the Vatican. We saw the Sistine Chapel roof too but obvs didn't take photos because we're not dicks.

That's my week done. g2g drinking my bodyweight in red wine ttyl ilysfm.

I said this week was all Sweden content. I lied.

I also took a photo of something I've been describing as the Lord's DJ Booth.

And f**k it, here's a photo I took of a random car.

We also visited Linköping with Dan's sister. Got to see the Linköping Cathedral. Most exciting part about that was not immediately bursting in to flames on entry despite my decades of sinning.

We briefly stopped into an Italian-style cafe on our way to Gamla Linköping - which is an open air museum. Also cool. Only shot I got of it though was Michael sitting on a bench and Dan trying to get the parking app to work.
