Had a bit of a doozy this arvo at the Queens Wharf. If you have seen a show you would know I like to get the clapping sticks going with the Yidaki (didgeridoo) and stomp. I was a bit carried away this time with all the beautiful people dancing and my finger got in between these Jarrah Sticks, smashing them together. I Couldn’t hold a note down on the guitar afterwords without serious pain. I’ve injured this knuckle before whilst sparing back in the day and it’s not something I want to push through, considering I’d like to keep playing guitar forever.

The audience were a little disappointed that I couldn’t finish the set, but they understood. Doesn’t look like much in this photo but that’s about as straight as I can get it (two hours after). I’ll have to cancel my show tomorrow at the Argenton Hotel, thanks to the folks that came out this weekend and sorry if you were planning on catching the Sunday Sesh.

Ironically, I always tell audience members after inviting them up to “hit these as hard as you can together, but watch your fingers”. Should of reminded myself that at the Queens Wharf!

Blues fest 2022 with Chels ❤️ Good to be a Punter every now ‘n’ then but now it’s down to Newy for a show at the Queens Wharf Friday 4:30 to 7:30. Then playing a Sunday sesh at the Gunyah Hotel, Belmont from 4-7.
