Before you were born, did anyone know anything about you? Nobody knew about you... before conception you didn't exist.
Jesus οΏΌοΏΌcoming was expected hundreds of years before it happened...to understand this we must go back to Genesis in the old testament.
Scripture - read Genesis 3:1-15
' He is Coming '
1. Old Testament Prophecies.
There are over three hundred references in the old testament that point to the Messiah coming into the world.(see Isaiah 53).
Jesus arrival was expected... how does this make him different to anyone else born?
Why was it necessary for God to send a redeemer?
What had happened?
2. The First Prophecy - the first mention of God's plan to send a saviour into the world is found in Genesis 3:15
Sin had spoilt God's perfect creation, then God's judgement upon the serpent/Satan and a promise that God would put hatred between Satan and the woman...Satan line Vs woman line. The struggle results when one from the woman's line would conquer and overcome Satan.
Genesis 3:15 is only a seed thought that grows and develops throughout the Bible all pointing to the coming Christ. And his main purpose...to defeat Satan on the Cross. (See Hebrews 2:14).
Conclusion - Is this good news for you?
Do you know this redeemer?
Have a blessed weekend wherever you are. ππ½

Intro: ' Keep the Fire burning '
We used to write letters, but now it's all emails and texts etc.
Scripture : 2 Corinthians 3:2-3
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody.
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Sermon: 'A living Epistle/Letter'
1. Living = written with the spirit. (Vs 3)
Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the spirit.
(John 3:5)
2. Legible = Known and read by all (Vs 2)
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father, we too many live a new life.
(Romans 6:4)
3. Light bearing = Being made manifest (Vs 3)
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.
(Matthew 5:16)
Conclusion : Be a living Epistle/Letter that is living, legible and light bearing.

Last Sunday we held a special Reconciliation Sunday Service as part of the National Reconciliation Week celebrations in Australia.
Goma Conlon shared about reconciliation from God's Word. Some points from his message were
- reconciliation with God must be first and foremost
- Jesus was the pinnacle of reconciliation in the way He lived and related to others in His community
- Do we emulate Christ in the way we live and relate to others?
There are many verses in the Bible that speak of reconciliation along with verses that speak of how we as Christians should live and relate to others in order to bring about reconciliation.
Let's see how many of these verses we can share in the comments below.

Today our first Sunday church service was held in the new space that the Lord has provided for us at Dakabin State School hall.
We enjoyed a message that was bought to us today by Pastor David Chambers. The word of God was shared from
2 Corinthians 5:16-21.
When a person gives their heart to Jesus, inviting Him into their life to be Lord and Saviour, they are no longer their old self, they have put off the old and put on the new. They become new in Christ and their old self passes away.
We become reconciled to God through His son Jesus Christ and we then have the ministry of reconciliation.
Isnβt it wonderful to know we are ambassadors for Christ. Chosen by the Lord almighty to represent Him.
You have been called from darkness to light. So let your light shine in this world. That others may see Jesus in you.
