It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s focus is on ‘anxiety’.

As someone who runs a successful business, I am very aware of the pressure and worries many business people face at times.

Running a successful business, particularly in the dental industry, comes with hard work, dedication, attention to detail… and its fair share of anxiety and stress. From managing books to supporting patients, countless factors can contribute to feelings of overwhelm and stress.

As a business owner, you must prioritise your mental health and find ways to cope with stress. Whether that means practising mindfulness techniques, taking breaks throughout the day, or seeking professional support, many resources are available to help you manage your anxiety.

Remember, taking care of yourself is key to running a successful business and providing the best possible care for your patients. Let’s work together to raise awareness about mental health and break the stigma surrounding anxiety in the dental industry.
