Merrimajeel Working Stock Dogs
Merrimajeel Working Stock Dogs are going to be entering two dogs in the Jerilderie Dog Auctions 2025 , stay tuned for videos of our entries
With her remarkable high drive, The Lees Hairy's Maiden run (part of it) at Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show in O’Sullivans Transport Central Victorian Yard Dog Championships demonstrates her potential for excellence in trials, requiring only targeted development to unlock her full capabilities, which already enable her to expertly handle sizable mobs and perform tirelessly through work scenarios.
Although Gogetta Rippa has been with us for a short time so far, he has already displayed remarkable footwork and abilities in both practical work scenarios, such as handling large mobs and persevering through extended, challenging days in yards, and the trial arena, where he is participating in his second trial, and we are encouraged by his potential.
This is his maiden run in Osullivans Transport Central Victorian Yard Dog Trial at The Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show.
So had a fantastic few days at Bendigo doing the dog trials, with the 4 dogs , wasn’t our weekend unfortunately due to some silly mistakes from me.
So Bootz is officially hanging up his trialling ‘boots’, fitting really as years ago Bendigo was his first trial.
Thanks to Hypro for fuelling the hounds
thanks to Dawn2duskaustralia for the awesome collars keeping the dogs securely tethered.
Meet the unstoppable force known as The Lees Hairy (Mulcra Sargent/The Lees Reg), or as we like to call her, Mighty Mouse! Despite her small stature, she packs a punch when it comes to her work ethic and determination. With a unique and captivating personality, this thinker is always on the move and ready to tackle any challenge thrown her way. Yard and Paddock are no issue for this little pocket rocket, will load a sheep handler all day and her mustering skills are amazing, can muster through tricky rocky terrain and through creeks, backs freely and no job is too big for her.
With every interaction, there’s an opportunity to train your dog.
🐾The Lees Woody🐾
The Lees May (Mulcra Sargent/ Nacooma Jazz) - calm personality and has the smarts , is very good in the yards and reliable, sensible around ewes with lambs at foot, has shown some nice work in mustering since working on a farm, works tough rocky terrain and through creeks with no hassle and no doubt will learn more as time goes on, backs and barks freely, just started working dry cows, had multiple placings in Maiden/Novice in 2023 season in Yard Dog Trialling.
Little Miss Bunji (Quia Charlie x Karana Shazza) is progressing nicely in her training, showcasing promising natural abilities and just over 6 months of age.
Gogetta RIPPA (Brokenriver Bank x Gogetta Talent) intelligent, calm, sensible, makes him a great worker, versatile in the yard and paddock, wide cast, works tough rocky terrain with no hassle and through creeks, backs and barks freely, he’s fitted in nicely to the team at Merrimajeel and has quickly become one of the main dogs.

Don't be fooled by The Lees Hairy's size, she's a force to be reckoned with as the main muster dog.and has became a handy dog in the yards teaming up with The Lees May
So the start of the trial scene for us was Rheola Yard Dog Trial on Easter Monday.
This trial is always challenging as it’s held at their annual carnival which includes such things Tractor demos and challenges where you may encounter the odd fireback of a tractor and chainsaw challenges , it always pulls an awesome crowd as well, so you can imagine the noises that may create challenges for the dogs.
Both The Lees May and The Lees Hairy got around this year in the Novice class but The Lees Hairy managed to secure a spot in the final.
The Lees Hairy’s Novice finals run was really good and I was happy with everything , she’s managed to get a 3rd which is awesome as she’s only young and learning and I was thrilled with her placing and how she handled all the distractions.

Welcome to the team Gogetta Rippa from Clearview Kelpies, we are very excited to have you team up with Bootz, The Lees May, The Lees Hairy and The Lees Woody , can’t wait to have you work alongside the team once you have settled in
Shell headed off to the Noorat Yard Dog Trial yesterday.
The Lee’s Hairy put in a whirlwind run, scoring a 66 in a blistering 2 minutes!! 😂
Bootz was his consistent self scoring a solid 79. Good effort by the old boy.
The Lee’s May had some issues on a rogue bunch of sheep so Shell did the wise move and retired her.
She headed off to the Beaufort Yard Dog trial this morning.
The Lee’s Hairy put in a 43, bit rough, just needs refining for trials and she will be a cracker.
Big Bootz put in another good run with a 74 in typical fashion.
The Lee’s May had a couple of excellent runs, scoring an 86 putting her in the final which incorporated loading the trailer, where she ran an 88, finishing in 2nd spot.
Well done crew!! 😊👍
Just a few at work
The Lees May’s Novice run in the final securing her an equal 4th place in Novice at Boort Yard Dog Trial
Shell and Bootz had a couple of great runs last weekend at the Central Victorian Yard Dog Championships held at the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show, picking up equal 2nd in the Novice and equal 3rd in the Maiden. 😊👍

Jason and I would like to introduce to everyone to our newest member of our team The Lees Hairy (Mulcra Sargent x The Lees Reg).
We extensively looked at dogs and are very appreciative of all the dogs we asked about and viewed but after a long talk and search Jason decided to contact David and Sarah from The Lees Working Dogs to discuss if there were any dogs in their team that would suit the workload I’m about to do as well suit trialling.
After consideration and David and Sarah recommendation we are so happy to have Hairy in our team. She has bonded well with Jason and I and has slotted in perfectly. Can’t wait to see what this little pocket rocket has in store.
