This summer, Tasmania has received 15 additional aircraft to help our local response and build on more than 20 private helicopters already here. 🚁✈️
Our parks chopper joined them to demonstrate their impressive winching capabilities.
Fire destroyed almost every asset in the Friendly Beaches campsite, including two toilet blocks, the beach viewing platform, guideposts, fencing and signage.
We know Tasmanians love this area, especially over summer, but unfortunately for public safety this site remains closed. 🚷
I assure you all efforts are being made to rehabilitate the site.

400 hectares of solar panels will be installed at the historic Connorville Station at Cressy.
