What's the difference between housework and self work?

The battle seems real but it's only a reflection of self. This little Sunbird came to use the nest hanging on our patio. The problem is she discovered a competitor in her territory. She has spent the last few days defending her nest from that brazen Sunbird on the other side of the bedroom door and window. Yesterday she came into the bedroom but that sneaky invader had disappeared. I woke early this morning to hear her relentless battle at the bedroom door. I'm not sure if she has the self-awareness required to recognise that there is no threat, her battle is with herself and all she need do is stop fighting. So thinking about how to temporarily stop the reflective nature of the glass.

Making days πŸ’š Having a day here and there to "make things" is a lovely change from the day to day routine. For me making things by hand, adds to the richness of life and my sense of well-being. This week Karen Bonham and Ash found soap moulds, so yesturday I made a new batch of home grown lufa soap. They don't look pretty (In this photo I've cleverly enhanced them with hand made yakka rope. OK I just dropped it ontop) but it smells good. Adding these to the last two batches, I think I am good for soap for the next couple of years πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜

Pre-travel anxiety will not stop me from enjoying my holiday. Here are the steps I am taking to reduce and manage these feelings. πŸ™ƒI took the time (eventually) to notice and clarify what I was thinking and feeling). 🀨I wrote a list of things I was worrying about. 🧐I wrote down how I could think differently about or manage my fears. Eg If (this) happens then I can do (this). 😜I took action to help me feel prepared for some of the imagened events. EG I read about how the travel insurance will help if one of us gets sick or if a flight gets cancelled. 😁I am focusing on the things I willl enjoy on our holiday.

Lunch time treat. I spent the morning studying Neuro Change and working on a governance manual. Stepped outside in my lunch break and discovered this beauty in the pond. πŸ˜€

The time has come to confess that I have developed an addiction to using video and audio applications to create explainers. It started with a simple Canva addiction and quickly escalated from there. Over the past couple of years, I have bought and tested HitFilm Express, Speechello, Toonely, Renderforest, CreateStudioPro, AvatarBuilder, Twinkle + many free text-to-speech applications. Although CreateStudioPro is my current favourite, today I caught myself signing up to test Descript and realised I am in deep with this obsession😁. Anyway here is a video I made with CreateStudoPro and Twinkle about the governance work I do.
