Emerge Fit & Well
Emerge Fit & Well. Connecting PTSD and wellness.
A gratitude moment in our PTSD journey would have to be meeting head coach at who challenges us, our ability and our fears and always reminds us of our potential. Over the weekend we went rock climbing and jumped in the pool for another breath work session. Inspired on each occasion to push outside of comfort by this amazing human.
What an incredible experience at Toowoon Bay with taking us through breathwork. We certainly were pushed out of our comfort zone but always safe in Kim’s hands. We are so incredibly grateful that Kim came into our lives and we can’t wait to share her amazing passion and knowledge with everyone. Please note this diving was done under the professional guidance and instruction of and this activity should not be done alone or without precessional guidance

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 7 day Stronger Body, Stronger Mind Challenge. We are excited to announce our lucky winners.
We often feel guilty when we take time out to care for ourselves or sooth ourselves. Today, we give you permission. We encourage you to take the time to do something that makes you feel good.
Our lives are becoming more and more sedentary. Remember to move every day. A great tip is to move in a way you love. It doesn't have to be an organised and structured activity. Move on your own or move with others. Move inside or outside. Move fast or slow. JUST MOVE.
Make sure you head back to our page to join in this HIIT class tomorrow morning. No equipment needed
Be completely present in the moment. Multi -tasking is the villain of mindfulness. If other actions, or thoughts or other feelings distract you, go back to what you are doing, again, and again, and again
Do not compare your achievements to others. Take the time to think about what defines your Personal Best and do something to work towards that every day, it doesn't have to be big. Just try for consistency and small achievable changes. Practice makes Progress.
We are so highly judgmental in our thoughts, towards others and ourselves. Think about the messages your inner thoughts are giving you. Acknowledge the difference between helpful and harmful, safe and dangerous. But do not judge them. Acknowledge your values, your wishes, your emotional reactions. But do not judge them. Describe your experiences with facts only. When you notice the judgments, just become aware of them. Most importantly, when you find yourself judging, DON'T JUDGE YOUR JUDGING. See how you go today with this awareness. What did you notice?
Food is fuel for your body. Think about what you need to help fuel your body each day.
There is always a silver lining to be found. Take the time to think about things you are grateful for, that you would never have had or experienced if it weren't for this lockdown.
While NSW is in a state-wide lockdown we thought it would be a good opportunity to look inwardly and control what we can. Join us for our 7 day Stronger Mind Stronger Body challenge. Each day we will ask you to complete an activity that helps you keep your body and mind strong in what is a difficult time for most people. At the end of the 7 days we will randomly select 2 winners (one supporter and one member) from those who successfully complete and post all 7 activities. Good luck!
