Small world play is a great way to encourage children to use their imagination through play and gain a greater understanding of the world around them π
Today the babies kept cool by enjoying a sensory water play activity using leaves and small branches from the garden in the yard and stone sensory tiles. The babies loved sitting in the water tub while they were kicking and splashing water everywhere! π¦π
High five for getting back to nature, getting messy and having fun!
Today our children were rewarded for all their hard work yesterday by being able to enjoy the first play in our new mud pit!! Safe to say, the children (and educators) all had a ball π©΅
Today our Kinder and Prekinder children helped to dig a mud pit and create a mud kitchen. In the process of digging up the grass, we found lots of worms πͺ± which the children very carefully collected and placed in a jar filled with dirt. The children were very happy with their efforts and loved the finished product!
Our Pre-Kinder children made a volcano today and incorporated their favourite dinosaurs π¦ π

Sand play has many benefits for children including improving their fine motor skills and it allows them to use their imagination ποΈ

Tonight we did our First Aid and CPR Training with . The training was very informative and will ensure all the educators are armed with the knowledge and skills to protect all the little people in our care

Today for pyjama day, our children indulged in some self care! They took turns giving each other banana honey facials with cucumber circles to soothe their eyes π₯
Everyone needs some freshly squeezed orange juice and a boost of Vitamin C in Winter! Today our Pre-kinder class spent the morning juicing fresh oranges as part of their Montessori activities. The children cut their own oranges, squeezed the juice using a juicer and then enjoyed the flavours of fresh juice!
Learning through play is a vital part of a childβs development. Our 3 year old room has been engaging in colour mixing, experimenting with volume and learning about natural consequence and the importance of treating objects carefully through play
This morning the children in our Kinder Room cut their own fruit for morning tea. The children loved being given the responsibility of this task and were very proud of themselves and their accomplishments
Finally a sunny day, and what a wonderful opportunity to do some outdoor painting! One of our children painted a beautiful rainbow using water paints π¨
Today our Kinder children had a very special visit from the Hallam CFA. They came in and spoke to the children about fire safety and what to do if they are ever caught in a fire. The children were very engaged and listened really well! But everyoneβs favourite part was seeing the fire truck, walking on it, hearing and seeing the lights and sirens and then of course, using the fire hose!!
The children have been engaging in some beautiful NAIDOC week activities this week. This set up is from our Infant Community, the children were provided with clay, sticks and leaves to create Native Australian Animals π¨
We know a lot of people are doing it tough at the moment, so we have created a Community Pantry for our families to utilise in their time of need or they can donate for another family who may be in need of some essential items π
Tonight we celebrated our Mums, Nannas, Aunties, friend Mums, Work Mums and even a couple of Dads. It was a beautiful gathering that brought us all together to celebrate some of the most special people in our lives π Happy Mothers Day πΈ
Today we came together and celebrated Eid. It was a beautiful celebration with traditional music, traditional foods and lots of delicious sweets! It was such a special way to teach the children about different cultures by celebrating together π Eid Mubarak π
We want to wish all our families a Happy Eid and hope those celebrating are surrounded by love, laughter and family.

The input of our families, children, educators and staff is very important to us. To help us build our Autumn/Winter menu we have asked everyone to contribute to our mind map for menu ideas π‘
Today we did a Professional Development with about Nature Play and Story Telling. We were inspired by their beautiful environments and examples of how to use nature play and story telling together. We made journey sticks using sticks, wool and items we found along the way during our learning journey.
We love creating meaningful meal times with our children. They love helping set the tables with real glasses and bowls, and their favourite part of the table setting is lighting and watching the flickering of the candles. Each day when lunch is finished, the children blow out the candles to symbolise the end of the meal.
Today we celebrate Holi, the festival of colours. The children had the best time and loved getting messy β€οΈπ§‘ππππ
Our Educators have been very busy setting up beautiful and inviting play spaces to encourage the children to use their imagination and make discoveries through play, build friendships, explore new ideas and peak their curiosity
Last night we had our Christmas party for all our children and their families. Everyone must have been very good boys and girls because we had a special visit from Santa and all the children got a special gift π πΌππ
