I loved this inspirational video - as told by Steve Harvey - comedian, entrepreneur, TV host, author.

The video is about how it all began for him way back in 1991.... a truly very inspiring story, based on his faith in God, knowing deep inside that he knew he had to just keep persevering, never giving up, and an early life lesson of... don't let anyone make you doubt yourself.

Steve's story in brief ...

In 1991 I was sleeping in my car, I had $35 to my name, everything I had could fit into two bags. I started talking to God about my dreams... Fast forward, out of nowhere I get a call from the Apollo asking me to come on the show.

That same night I met D.L. Hughley, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Jamie Foxx for the first time. We were all comedians that went on that night. This is my Apollo story and how I became the host. This was my turnback moment.

Everybody has a turn back moment, it's the moment you can either go forward or give everything up. There's one guarantee if you give up it will never happen. Faith is everything, God is always on time, he's never too late.

Hey friends - line in the sand time.

This won’t apply to 95% of the people here. But for some people - it’s really time for us to part ways.

I cannot emphasise enough. I am not here for your entertainment. I owe you nothing. I’m not here for your conspiracy theories or Covid denial.

I’m not here for your “both sides”. I’m utterly disgusted by your support of Donald Trump (or where you pretend you’re an impartial observer).

I’m not here for your “love and light” version of white supremacy. I’m not here for your QAnon nonsense. It’s boring and stupid and I don’t have to allow it in my space.

Let me be really blunt and clear.

I’m not Sesame Street on a public access channel. Nobody is entitled to my time, attention, or creativity. You don’t get to benefit from my work. No soup for you.

If you don’t leave, I will ban you.
If you harass my community or team, I will ban you.
If you tell me to “wake up”, I will ban you.

You can sit in your passive-aggressive anger, sadness, and disappointment of me. You can bitch about me. But I don’t have to listen to it in MY SPACE.

There’s no boss or manager you can complain to. The buck stops with me.

The action you can take - easily and for free - is to unfollow, unsubscribe and block me. Never support my work again. Add me to your “sheeple” list.

I don’t want you to lurk. I never want to accidentally amplify your work. I don't appreciate your perspective or point of view.

* But I’m a customer - you can’t talk to me like that.

When you buy from me, you buy that thing from me. You don’t buy ME.

I’m glad you loved my book. It doesn’t mean I have to allow you into my space. Burn my book if you feel strongly about it. If you’re a Bootcamper, I will hold space for you IN THAT GROUP.

But if you bought the course 6 years ago, or yesterday, my values are not up to you. If you’ve been around long enough, you have probably received your value. Our time together might be done.

* Very unChristian / intolerant of you

I’m not a Christian. I despise people using organised religion to discriminate against other people’s rights and bodily autonomy. I’m about marriage equality and safe abortion rights for everyone.

* I thought you were about FORGIVENESS.

Forgiveness doesn’t condone behaviour. It also doesn’t mean you have to continue relationships with abusers. Forgiveness is the gift you give yourself.

Pi***ng off people absolutely does bring up guilt for me - I’ll be tapping on it all week. I’m chill 90% of the time, and 10% total bitch but yeah, this wasn’t easy to write.

* Wake up - do your research

I don’t watch a lot of ‘mainstream” news - I’m very careful about who I take advice from. Trust me, I’ve done a ton of research over the last four years. I’ve seen enough.

I also have a lot of blind spots and I’m always learning about how I can challenge my worldview.

On this though - I am clear and unequivocal.

Lastly - twenty years ago, I joined a student-led organisation called AIESEC. It was founded in 1948 after World War II to stop future global conflict.

I take this mission very seriously to this day:

"The peace and fulfilment of humankind's potential”

I feel like I’m on the right side of history here.
