Munari wines are now at Foodworks Jacksons Hill🍷❤️👍

Munari Wines is a family owned vineyard located 11kms north of Heathcote at the base of the Mt Ida foothills. Founded in 1993, Adrian Munari’s philosophy has always been, as many traditional winemakers believe: “Understand your site, its soil profile, seasonal climate variation, and thus grow the most appropriate varieties. Don’t be restricted by the past, complement old winemaking principles with the innovative techniques developed in the new world for quality control. Doing so allows room for experimentation and adventure in the attaining of superior expression in the ‘terroir’ of your bottle.”

We’re all loving the new bottling of the Munari fortified Shiraz. Soon to be released just waiting for the wax seals before it hits the shelves. COMING SOON TO HARRY BROWN! A blend of two vintages of their Heathcote Shiraz from the Munari vineyard. Big thumbs up for this one, very tasty 👍 🍷😋

A beautiful view of some of their first Carmenere vines planted in 2010 at Humis Vineyard in the Heathcote region.

The Carménère Story - Suspected to be lost to the wine drinking world since the dreaded Phylloxera plague in 1867. This Bordeaux variety has been making a come back since being redicovered in Chile after being mistaken for Merlot.
In 2012, genetic analysis revealed Carménère to be the bastard son of Cabernet Franc and Gros Cabernet.
Carménère tends to be deep red in colour and sit somewhere between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in terms of structure.
Carménère has a great length, full body and delicious wild berry flavours.

Extremely proud to introduce Munari Wines to our portfolio!

Within 25 years this former historic sheep station has grown from a single Shiraz and a blend “The Schoolhouse Red” into an award winning portfolio.

Working with Dad this school holidays!

We can now find Organic Hill, Zitta, Munari, Humis, Marnong & Farmer Scientist wines all at the Black Spur Inn.

This weekend were tasting Zitta’s Union St range at Harry Brown Liquor (Craigieburn, VIC).
These wines are from the De Fazio vineyard in Greenock, northern Barossa.

With two branches of the Greenock Creek running through it – one in the North Western corner and the other in the South Eastern, the vineyard has been producing premium quality grapes for over one and a half centuries. It was established in 1864 by colonial settlers, and Winemaker Angelo considers himself extremely fortunate to have acquired such a quality parcel of land.
