NAIDOC WEEK 2024 | Tomorrow, we gathered as a school to celebrate NAIDOC Week (Sunday 7 – Sunday 14 July 2024). This year the NAIDOC Week theme is ‘Keep the Fire Buring! Blak, Loud and Proud’.
The morning will open with a NAIDOC Assembly followed by a middle session of rotational cultural activities on the Junior Oval. Student then enjoy warm damper and BBQ kangaroo and emu meat tasters at second break.
In the afternoon we are privileged to experience didgeridoo playing, a boomerang throwing demonstration and a fire making ceremony by the renowned cultural educator, Rhan Hooper! It will be a day celebrating our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through dance, storytelling and art alongside our elders.
Parents and community are welcome to join us and share in this fabulous experience at anytime throughout the day!

We have raised over $600 at the junior and senior sports day to go towards new sports equipment at the school.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen and those that purchased from the bbq on those days.

Don’t forget it’s Junior Sports Day Today!!! We will be down at the senior oval for all the action with the below menu available. You can also order on the QKR! App. Hope to see you there!!!

We are in need of volunteers for The Burger and Sausage Sizzle for Junior Sports Day on Thursday from 8am to 12pm. If you could help even for an hour it would be much appreciated to make it a fun day for everyone.

Life is not without its challenges! You may know of people or members of our school community who may need a little extra support. This information is always good to have at hand or to share with those who may need some added support!

Join us on Thursday, May 16th at 9:30am in B Block for the next First Nations Working Party meeting at Bundamba State School. Enjoy a light morning tea while discussing the NAIDOC program to be held from July 8-12, 2024.

Don’t forget the Mothers Day stall tomorrow. Only students with parents or carers will be able to purchase before school as each class will be visiting the stall throughout the day. Please remember to send a bag with your child for them to bring their purchase home.

Don’t forget if you want sushi tomorrow you will need to order online before 10am today
