It’s very unlike me to post a photo of myself and even more unlike me to share my personal stories here however today I feel the need to post and share my gratitude…. my gratitude for being alive!

This afternoon I met with my oncologist for the last time …
10.5 years cancer free.

He told me “you’re discharged… you’re free of me”… whilst this is an incredible milestone and one that will be celebrated it also brings up all the feelings … good and bad from the past decade where my life was literally turned on it’s head…..

As I left his office this afternoon I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions…. I felt like I’d lost my security blanket and I had a little cry on the way to the lift … but that’s ok …. I’m used to the roller coaster of emotions this past decade has taken me on….

So yes, of course I’m so happy to be alive … it wasn’t my time … I’m one of the lucky ones and I will always be so grateful for my team of Doctors who literally saved my life … along with the love and support of family and friends.

Thank you too for your support over the past few years in helping me build Pickled Willow Flowers, a business I love … the future looks bright! …. 🌻
