GFNA Umpire Exchange
This page has been designed for clubs to use as a resource for finding umpires.
With the introduction of a bye round, we encourage any umpires whose team has the bye to help other clubs out.

Okay - So we've worked out that a PAGE isn't suitable for us. So I am in the process of setting up a Group instead. This will allow more interaction with members.
So please find the page: GFNA Umpires and request to join
We won't close the current page down for a few weeks.
So again, look for GFNA Umpires and request to join
Cheers

Who Controls What when you are umpiring???
Remember the A Side line controls the Obstruction call on the throw in, in B's area on the A Side line only.
Only in extreme circumstances would you over blow your other umpire in their area of control.

We have had a few comments and questions regarding umpiring for other clubs on bye games this year. The introduction of the bye round provides us with a good opportunity for passionate umpires to help other clubs out when their team has the bye game.
We have decided the best approach to this is to create a page. This page can be used as a resource for clubs, if they are in need of an umpire one week.
Just to clarify a few things
- This page is to be used for clubs to seek assistance from individual umpires only. It is not a platform for inner-club umpire organisation, all clubs should have their own system for this.
- Umpire payments need to be managed carefully. We are in the process of seeking guidance from Netball SA regarding how much B, C and unbadged umpires should be offered. This remains up to the individual and the club to sort through and come to a mutual agreement on.
- We will speak to the GFFL, but I think it is fair and reasonable that if an umpire is travelling to help another team out, their gate payment should be waived.
If clubs have any other questions, comments or feedback on this concept please give me a call.
thanks,
Amii.
