Making Footprints is a finalist for the Local Business Awards under the Professional Services category for 2024!
Professional services encompass any profession offering educated, knowledge-based expertise or advice to clients. Business owners in this field are generally highly qualified and knowledgeable, and we're proud to be recognised among them.
A special shoutout to our incredible Founder and CEO, Kardason Rawandzi. Kardason’s remarkable journey has fueled his dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities. After immigrating to Australia in the early 1990s, he faced the challenges of immigrant families firsthand. Motivated by a passion for helping others, he pursued qualifications in counselling, mental health, and business management. His personal experiences, especially as a devoted sibling to a brother with a disability, strengthened his commitment to this cause.
Our team, including our client engagement officer, Jessica, and support coordinator, Daniel, seen below will be attending the awards ceremony in September. We're excited to celebrate this achievement together!
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we're making a lasting impact and inspiring a more inclusive future.

Making Footprints is a Finalist in the Disability Support Services category for the Australian Small Business Champion Awards 2024! We are thrilled to announce that the spotlight is set to shine on Australia's most influential and outstanding women in business, and our very own Director/Operations Manager, Rebecca Gall, has been nominated!
With 11 years of industry experience and a personal passion for supporting our community, we are so excited to have Rebecca represent our business for this prestigious award. Rebecca's journey in community services began at just 16 when she played a key role in developing a local charitable organisation still active today, and her passion has only grown since then.
Growing up in a home affected by complex mental health and psychosocial disability, Rebecca has continuously strived to advance our community. We have been truly blessed by her unwavering commitment to our clients, staff, and the broader Central Coast.
A heartfelt thank you to all who support our vision, development, and growth. Together, we are making a difference!

Celebrate Disability Pride Month with Making Footprints!
This July, we come together to promote awareness, celebrate people with disabilities, and encourage self-acceptance and embracing all disabilities.
Disability Pride Month has its own flag, with colors representing the diverse experiences of people with disabilities:
💚 Green – Invisible and undiagnosed disabilities
💙 Blue – Mental illness
🤍 White – Sensory disabilities
💛 Yellow – Neurodiversity and developmental disabilities
❤️ Red – Physical disabilities
How can you play your part in advocating for people with disabilities?
- Listen to what people with disabilities have to say.
- Stand up for what is right – when you hear someone harassing or bullying a person with a disability, stand up and stop it.
- Stop making assumptions about people with disabilities and what they can and can’t do.
- Ask questions respectfully – do not be afraid to ask a question but please be respectful.
