I just walked in on the kids playing the Christmas game- they figured October was close enough 🥰

Every year I leave it too late to find matching pjs for my family, it seems like as soon as they come out they’re all snapped up! Are matching pj’s a tradition in your family? Where is the best place to find them 🤔

As we prepare to open orders for 2022 here’s a little reminder of where our game came from. Once a handmade gift for families in our friend group- we realised we were all playing them 10 years later! That’s when Sam and I decided to share this game (a little more polished 😆) with everyone so you could all enjoy our family tradition

Something about the change in season has got me looking at this and seeing Christmas trees 🎄 Who else feels the warm weather approaching and starts daydreaming about Christmas bbq’s? Do any of our followers get to enjoy a white Christmas instead?

We were so very sad to hear about the passing of our favourite “Mom for Christmas” Olivia Newton John. Mom for Christmas was one of Sam’s favourite movies to watch during the Christmas season when we were younger.

We braved the wind and took our board game out in public today at the Luddenham Country Markets Thanks to the team at AMA Event Management we had an absolutely amazing day playing our game with the wonderful families and friends that stopped by to see what everyone was so excited about!

It was so touching to hear comments of this is so cool and this is great and what an amazing concept. What we especially loved hearing was families chatting to each other about how they could play it on Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day after lunch and how it would be their new Christmas tradition.

We are Sam and Thea. Between us we have 7 children, 2 husbands, a Happy-dog and and a cat named Denise. We both love to create and design and both absolutely love the Christmas season. One of us loves it for the Hallmark Christmas Movies and the other loves it for the feast of turkey legs!

Ten years ago we were sat around the crafting table and decided to make a board game to entertain our children and the holiday crew (sometimes 12 of them) in the lead up to Christmas.

The original game was created using laminated paper cards for trivia and challenges and our player tokens were made from using the last of the Plaster of Paris (from another holiday activity) into an advent calendar chocolate mould. So of course we didn't expect it to last past that Christmas, but the children lovingly packed up their tokens and board game and would continue to get very excited each Christmas season when the Christmas game was still intact and they would play it many times over the holiday season.

We certainly didn't realise 10 years ago that we would be creating a new and beloved tradition for our families (over multiple giant cups of tea and (ahem more than) a few mince pies)! A Christmas board game that would inspire conversation, laughter and memories for years to come.

We discovered that our families enjoyed the game so much that we wanted to bring this experience to families everywhere and so the idea of the customised Family Christmas Game was created. We designed and we build each game together, customising everything from the lid right down to what’s inside each box!

Each year as we played with the children we discovered that making a family game for the kids to play instead of being bored was more than just an anti-boredom activity - it's a tradition worth cherishing together with your loved ones every Christmas season.
