Some facts about this blessed day and our saints…
Saint Eleni (also known as Saint Helen) and Saint Konstantinos (also known as Saint Constantine) are two of the most revered saints in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Saint Eleni:

- Born in the 3rd century AD
- Mother of Saint Konstantinos
- Converted to Christianity by her son
- Known for her piety, wisdom, and charitable works
- Discovered the True Cross in Jerusalem
- Died in 330 AD

Saint Konstantinos:

- Born in 272 AD
- First Christian Roman Emperor
- Issued the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, legalizing Christianity
- Convoked the First Ecumenical Council in 325 AD
- Founded Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) as the new capital of the Roman Empire
- Died in 337 AD

Both saints are celebrated together on May 21st (or May 20th in some traditions) in the Greek Orthodox Church. They are revered for their significant contributions to the spread of Christianity and their devotion to God.

Saint Eleni is often depicted holding the True Cross, and Saint Konstantinos is often depicted with a cross and a crown. They are considered powerful intercessors and are often invoked for guidance, protection, and strength.

Their legacy continues to inspire and influence the Greek Orthodox Church and the world at large, serving as a testament to the power of faith, family, and devotion 🙏💕
