So I got me a new (to me) van which is going to help me expand my reselling business. Over time I will be adding components so she can be my home and my adventure van. Her name is Cavendish, after my favourite ever cyclist who was a workhorse on the flat, s**t up hills but went super fast going home. I’m in love.

My two beautiful new to me chairs that I found on Facebook marketplace this weekend. It was a comedy of errors and people forgetting I was coming or not being home or not answering message (they were from two separate sellers) but I got them in the end.

Do we laugh? Cry? Empathise? High five for imagination?

Another track. Another day full of possibilities.

I didn’t have anything to wear to the gig so I ducked into the local Salvoes and got this banger for $6.

Ren has their first professional gig with their band on Sunday.

AND they have been given an offer to their VCE VM ( vocational Major) at Holmsglen Tafe doing small business and events.

And just why did they choose this course?

Because their dream is to open an inclusive space for youth to be involved with music.

Long term dreams.

Not many people know what Ren has overcome to achieve this and it’s not my story to tell. Ren is quite simply a hero in my eyes.

What a beautiful array of goodies I am packing and sending to new homes today. To think, some of these items have been used and loved by 2, 3, maybe 4 families.

Well here she is, the Queen herself Ruby celebrating her 21st birthday in England.

Ruby’s pushed herself even when it’s hard and despite some of the challenges she has faced. So proud of you my darling, so fearless and independent and all the things I admire.

I sent this selfie to my girls - one in Queensland and the other in the UK. I like it. Also my son has gone to Fed Square to watch their mates play in bands and I wonder how I kept them all (and myself) alive all these years.

Another superb hand made clothing item that doesn’t seem to have been made from a pattern. It’s utter lack of sophistication in needlework makes it even more wholesome. The fabric is a very light corduroy and demands to be worn with long cotton pyjamas and slippers.

Excuse me for a few hours while I get used to the fact that my daughter Ruby is off overseas to work and travel for a while. Proud, heartbroken, so so happy for my daughter.

I am so into this MCM serving tray with toothpick holder. It took a lot of cleaning and it has two little patches of wear but that doesn’t detract from it being a really special piece.

Well it took me a little while but I finally got this clean enough to be able to list it. Such a pretty little dish. A bit like me really.

Found this beauty of a vintage shirt yesterday. I’ve been a little more aggressive than usual with my pricing based on comps and because I believe I have a quality product. Time and eBay will tell!

I picked this little guy up today. Now to put new batteries in!

Found some very cool Windsor Smith boots today. Shoe sales have been going really well for me so I thought I’d give these a shot too!

This beautiful vintage hand made dress is lace over a separate silk hand made dress. It’s diving and full and perfect. It’s just been sold and I feel so happy that after finding this at an estate sale I could send it to someone who is going to love it.

Stirland and Fam on TikTok What sold this weekend? The answer is - a LOT of books!

It goes to show there is a buyer for everything. The book is pretty beaten up but it interested me and spoke to me and I just sold it for $20. The fabric is just a remnant. It even has a big circle cut out of it. But it looked pretty with the vintage lace. It just sold for $15.
