Life as a grown up these days is so busy and demanding, so much to take seriously. This leaves zero time and energy to lighten things up, have some fun, feel joy and laughter.
Taking time out in Thailand reminded me of this important aspect of mindful living.
With never ending pressures its easy to forgo playfulness, but can see all joy dry up in your life, skewing the balance. As the saying goes: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"
We have to make conscious effort to set aside time to let go of all the serious stuff in life. Carving out time as much as is possible in your day, your week or maybe each month.
Ask yourself- what brings you joy?
Write a list down of all the things that have brought joy in the past, consider adding new things you are yet to try. Then set some time aside in your schedule and make a promise to yourself to invite more fun.
Once you do it, I assure you, you won't regret it ๐โจ๏ธ๐
